Talon is our favorite winery in the area, mainly because of the high quality and variety of wines they produce. The grounds are beautiful as well, and they now have live music on weekend evenings when the weather is nice. Make sure to head down Tates Creek road to Talon and have a great afternoon.

We stopped here on a whim because we needed a break from a lengthy roadtrip. Getting back to the winery was a little ways off the highway, but the scenery and land surrounding was beautiful. The winery grounds themselves were beautiful as was the tasting room in the former farmhouse. The gift shop inside the house was well stocked with... More

This is an extension of Lexington's Talon Winery. There's no wine making here, but the surrounding farmland looks like it could become a vineyard. The gift shop here was well stocked. And the wine was pretty good as well. Only $1 each to sample.

Driving up to Covington, Ky for business, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Boone Tavern and decided to stop along the way for some wine tastings. We choose Talon Winery.Firat must say be preparred to take back roads, etc for long period of time because it is off the beaten path. The grounds were beautiful as well as the tasting facilities, although was not impressed with the complete tasting experience. The two employees working were too worried about the two other large groups to give the two of us any attention. There were no suggestions or descriptions when asking about which wines to try. We got a brief description of the... More

Talon is set on acres of beautiful Kentucky farmland and the sense of quiet and peace is very relaxing. It is about 25 minutes outside of Lexington but well worth the drive. We did a wine tasting with a young gentleman named Sean who was entertaining as well as informative. They had a great deal on wine tasting, try 6... More

Talon Winery did not dissappoint. A tall, dark hair young man with pretty eyes (sorry, didn't catch his name) helped us. He was very knowledgable about the wines as well. The atmosphere was very serene and the view exquisitely beautiful. The drive to the winery was a nice Sunday drive.

Pretty little winery with a nice tasting room and good server. We enjoyed many of the wines and purchased a few bottles. A nice experience overall.

Tasting location has outdoor patio, though this is a bit small - so ideal to expand this space and allow for comfortable seating and catering. Winemaker is outstanding as varietals rival Napa.
