From everything I had read about this place, it sounded like a factory. It offered tours to see how the candy was made. We were past the time of the last tour but decided to go anyway. After we finally found the place, it was only a store in a strip mall. Looks can be deceiving, so I decided to... More

We stopped in Lexington on our trip north hoping to take a tour of the chocolate factory. Unfortunately when we arrived we learned it would be 3 more hours until the next tour so had to forego that. We enjoyed sampling the chocolates and couldn't leave without a box of the chocolate covered potato chips. Just wish the times of... More

Definitely worth a visit to The Old Kentucky Chocolate Factory. Took our 10 year old Granddaughter, as she LOVES candy, but Gram & Papa enjoyed it just as much as she did! Fun tour gal and some yummy tastings. Had to overlook all the UK "stuff" as we are Universally of Michigan fans😉

We were on our way home from a 3 day golf trip and we stopped to take the tour of the factory. It was amazing how everything is still done without big machines. There are employees boxing the candies, putting them on the conveyor belts etc. They had tons of samples and did have tongs to pick them up with... More

Great chocolate and sweets. I was just looking at the online selection and thinking of ordering some.

I was there last Derby week. They insisted that I take a sample of each bourbon ball offered and were very gracious. The Black Forest truffle is the best bourbon ball in KY. Ed from Princton NJ

I seen the manager inform a lady that was trying to set up a good time to bring a group of brain injuried peoples they didnt want that type of people to come to old Kentucky chocolates. Im not sure of the group or the woman's name but my family will not be back since they feel this way.

Thank you ladies for the extra special wrapping of our chocolates so we could take all 4lbs on the motorcycle. The dinner suggestion was great too!

The store on Southland Drive: The major product is the chocolates--a wonderful and delicious assortment. But this store also sells a variety of gifts, from University of Kentucky-themed merchandise to general giftware. A fun place to shop, especially at the holidays.
