Lots of great paved trails as a place to get in some exercise after all that food and bourbon. Demonstration gardens are well labelled and close to the parking area. Everything is beautifully maintained and lovely.

We visited during a not-so-good weather weekend, but the rain held off long enough for us to walk around (although the shop was not open). This was our second visit - with each one, I learned something new. I'll visit again.

I was visiting family for a few weeks in Lexington and wanted a place where I could do my run/walks. The Arboretum was recommended to me and I thoroughly enjoyed this place!! There are 2 miles of paved walking trails as well as a dirt trail that goes off into the woods that loops back around to the main trail!... More

The arboretum in Lexington is a treasure. It's a large area of green space wedged in an unlikely location that is open to the public for running, walking, photographing, talking, contemplating and learning about nature. The trees and flowers growing in the arboretum are gorgeous -- great as a learning tool -- but not displayed in such a way that... More

We love to visit arboretums in the cities we visit and this one is lovely. Road construction making it difficult to get to and a heavy down pour were the only deterrants to our staying for a couple of hours to continue through the gardens at our leisure. Learn the meaning of the dove sculpture. It is a beautiful tribute... More

Numerous walking trails wind throughout the arboretum leading to a variety of different gardens. The rose garden contained a special statue honoring those lost in a flight. I was not familiar with the incident and, though, a touchy monument, the roses themselves did not appeal to us. The animal habitat and butterfly habitat, however, were wonderfully built with beautiful blooms.... More

We live near here and can't get enough of it! Plan on spending an hour or two out there. The children's garden is good for kids under 6. The jogging trail is super awesome!

Was free to visit, hot muggy day, walked the whole 2 miles and then some. Trees are not all labeled, but I suppose they are working on that and planting more. Nice place to see

The place is rather large and hard to get to at the moment due to lots of construction going on nearby. We enjoyed the small children's living zoo experience but did not enjoy the property so much...perhaps because it was so hot and expansive with no guides to assist you and very few signs anywhere that we could see.
