Our first trip trip to the Arboretum was delightful. If you need to find a bit of peace and quiet while being surrounded by beauty, head over to the rolling hills, tall trees, colorful gardens, walking and running trails in the Arboretum. Bring your camera!

This is a beautiful park of over 100 acres in the heart of the UK campus off Alumni Drive. You can't take it in in just 2 hours, but you can see alot in 2 hours. They have a walk around the perimeter that's 2 miles long, with plenty of little detours along the way. They have vegetable gardens, rose gardens.... More

Enjoyable any time of the year and plenty of pathways to choose from for daily walks, and free nature classes. Close to the university of kentucky. Depending on time of day parking can be limited.

Beautiful stroll among dozens and dozens of varieties of trees. A great way to spend an afternoon, be it spring or fall.

This beautiful Park in the heart of Lexington, KY offers relaxing walks and opportunities to view native flora and other interesting vegetation. But, overall, I find the arboretum disorganized and inconsistent compared to other formal gardens and demonstration gardens around the world. It seems like there was no master plan when the arboretum was first developed in the early 90's... More

All you have to do is go, park (free), and walk into pure bliss (also free). The opportunities to take photos is near endless, there's plenty of benches to rest or read all throughout this garden, and there's even a children's garden ($3.00 a person or $10 for 5 people a day) to go visit and see. There's also cool... More

Lots of great paved trails as a place to get in some exercise after all that food and bourbon. Demonstration gardens are well labelled and close to the parking area. Everything is beautifully maintained and lovely.

We visited during a not-so-good weather weekend, but the rain held off long enough for us to walk around (although the shop was not open). This was our second visit - with each one, I learned something new. I'll visit again.

I was visiting family for a few weeks in Lexington and wanted a place where I could do my run/walks. The Arboretum was recommended to me and I thoroughly enjoyed this place!! There are 2 miles of paved walking trails as well as a dirt trail that goes off into the woods that loops back around to the main trail!... More
