Part thoroughbred race course, part sales company and considered one of America's most beautiful tracks, Keeneland is known for its well-designed and meticulous landscaping. The grounds consist of the paddock, a prep area where visitors can view horses up-close just before the race and a combination of dirt and turf race tracks.

Make it there early and see the track workouts. Great time watching them. Grounds are open for you to walk anywhere. Went through the paddocks and ate at the track kitchen. Didn't get to see a lot of the sales arena as the lights were off. Track kitchen has good cheap food!

Spent the morning at the track workout. Ate the $5 Track Kitchen breakfast and then came back later in the day for the races. The buildings and paddocks are beautiful, the staff were gracious and friendly and you can really get up close to the action in the General Admission area for the races. I heard good things about visiting... More

Such a classy venue to watch horse races....everything about it is top notch...but the highlight, which is silly, were the fantastic warm, fresh potato chips they had at the concession stands! Enjoyed them so much took some home with us!

Keeneland Is a must go if you are in Lexington in April or October. It can get pretty crowded on nice days so come early if you don't have reserved seats. Very reasonable to get in. The tellers and staff are helpful for first time bettors. Even the crowds are worth watching.

The track is only open in April & October. Pack some food to tail gate. Wear a hat although only saw a few. Walking can be a distance but there are shuttle buses to take you closer.

We always visit during the Spring & Fall meets at Keeneland. Gather up some friends and make a weekend trip of it. Tailgate in the fields, have some Burgoo, bet on the ponies! I love the Fall meet the best!
