Enjoyed the visit especially the stop at the Cemetery where some of the Great Horse are buried. I would not recommend this for small children but if you are interested in the history of horse racing then Calumet Farm is one of the most historic. more
Calumet Farm is indeed a little piece of horse racing history within itself. I did a bus tour through the farms of Central Kentucky and Calumet was one of the best. My husband and I enjoyed the van tour with 10 other people. Although the only place we were allowed to leave the van was at the horse cemetery, we stopped often to observe the horses, main house, and barns. This is not a great place to visit if you want an insider's look at the modern horse business. You will not get to see much of the behind-the-scenes stuff and it is a little too slow-paced for younger kids.
