I won tickets a year ago for free admission. Just having a new baby I was unable to use my tickets until this month. The associate at the ticket counter refused to use these tickets because it had been a year. There is no expiration date on the tickets. Then she proceeds to tell me that they are new owners... A natural, active cave tour. Tours are held via flash-light to provide an old-time experience (they gave up on making the inspector happy with having electric lights in the cave). The zoo is interesting too, several species of birds, emus, kangaroos, and dingos. The kids enjoyed petting the kangaroo.

We took my little girl there last month. She really loved petting the kangaroos. "Uncle Billy" was our guide and he was awesome.

What a great place. A co-worker mentioned it, so we stopped on the way back from Mammoth Cave. So glad we did. We saw dingos, a white bison, fallow deer, silver fox, lemurs, lots of exotic birds, and sheep herded by border collies. But, our favorite by FAR was the 'Outback Walkabout' where we saw emus, tortoise, and kangaroos! We... More

My hubby and I took our grandson and he had a blast. We spent most of the day there. Saw everything and even took the cave tour. Now since you do not know my grandson he is scared of dark places and heights. He did pretty good and was starting to lose it right at the end. But he enjoyed... More

A wonderful place to hang out with emus, kangaroos, tortoise and a patagonian cavy. You can also do a short cave tour which is every convenient if time is not on your side, short but very cool. Please remember to wear comfy shoes because it can be very wet in there and lots of stairs to climb up and down... More

Family of 5 (2 children ages 7 and 11, 2 seniors and one adult). All of us loved this attraction. I'll start with the Mammoth Onyx Cave. The cave tour was only about 45 minutes but was fantastic; what I consider a "real" cave with stalagtites and stalagmites everywhere. The cave was beautiful and less "commercialized" than the Mammoth Cave... More

We spent half a day at the Kentucky Down Under Adventure Zoo with three young kids- 8, 6 and 4 years old. The customer service was outstanding and the workers were friendly and helpful. They went as far as to call down to the cave tour to tell them we were running late and to please wait for our group... More

We've been to a lot of petting zoos with our kids, but this one was one of the best. We learned about sheep herding and shearing at the "Woolshed Show" which our kids loved -- and even got to see some well-behaved border collies round up and direct the sheep. Our 3 kids (ages 4, 4, and 8) were mesmerized.... More

This is a great way to spend a half day. This is a nice local zoo with a several good things to do. There's a neat cave to take a tour in. They have a variety of animals. The most enjoyable part of the zoo is interacting with the kangaroo's. They're accustomed to people and several let you actually pet... More
