Love coming here to look for Cape May diamonds! Thousands of pebbles wash up on this beach. They are colorful and appear as tumbled stones! Many are clear quartz that sparkles when wet and can be cut like a diamond! The gift shop on the beach sells jewelry made with raw or cut stones, I could sit for an entire... More

One of the nice things (there are many), about Lower Township is the beautiful sensets that they get here. Being on the East coast the sunsets for many places are mainly on land, but here Sunset Beach is located at the mouth of the Delaware Bay and this is on the water. Just perfect! Another nice thing is that Sunset... More

As this was our first time to Cape May, we heard about this beach while visiting. So happy we decided to check it out. They have flag lowering on the beach right before sunset....a very solemn, moving ceremony that alot of people come for then stay to watch the sunset....absolutely gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous sunsets (see my photos)....definitely should be on... More

Easy to get to and it's free. A must spot when visiting the Cape May area any time of year. During the day also a good spot for a swim and sunbathing

In the winter, the wind off the ocean is brisk and other than the ship wreck (which is disappearing) there is not much to do (during the day). They say it is very nice at sunset.

The beach is famous for Cape May diamonds which you can find. The concrete ship has an interesting histiory but won't last much longer. The gift shop has some inique items. Open year round. In season flag lowering ceremony is a real tribute to our country.

I am very pleased that Sunset Beach has been listed as one of the top 25 Beach's in the United States by Trip Advisor. My family visits Sunset Beach numerous times throughout the year. It is a terrific place to relax...walk..fish.. In the past when I worked in Cape May I would have my lunch there at many different times... More

Sunset Beach is not very good as far as South Jersey beaches go, small and a fine pebble beach with an ugly concreate ship mostly sunk just of the shore, but it is special for two reasons; it’s one of the few places you can see the sun set over water, the Delaware Bay, on the East Coast and the...
