I stayed as part of a four day volunteer programme and can't speak highly enough of this place. We stayed in the campsite which was spacious and had acceptable facilities, it was also regularly visited by Warthogs and Waterbucks! We took the Rhino walks and got unbelievably close views of many of the animals, the Rangers were safety conscious and... More

The only place you will see rhinos in Uganda. Well worth a visit and ideally placed to break up the journey from Entebbe/Kampala to Murchison's fall. You can get very close to the rhinos on foot in the company of excellent local guides who stay with the animal 24 hours a day - a magical experience

We spent one night on the ranch in a double room & with private bathroom and it was great. There was no hot water, although there was a sign stating that we should leave the water running for some time before it gets hot. However this did not bother us. The bed was quite big and very comfortable. In front... More

Not often that you can get out in the bush to see a rhinoceros in their natural environment. Awesome experience. Touched deeply by the plight of survival. Would definitely visit again. The sanctuary also had a few rare birds. Super cool.

So, on our April 2015 trip to Uganda with colleagues, we stopped at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in our way back from the Murchison Falls National Park animal safari. I had no idea we would be literally in the same field as the rhinos with a trained guide who walked us through and motioned us to move this way or... More

We stopped on our way back from Murchison. Uncertain start to the tour - the office did not contact a ranger/guide when we first arrived, so after we had used the toilets and ordered our food at the restaurant (for after our rhino visit) we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for the ranger to arrive. We went on... More

We had amazing luck on our visit - a short walk (so we felt like we'd done a bit of work!) and then 7 rhinos resting in a group. 7 - that's half the white rhinos in the whole of Uganda!!!! Incredible experience - some even got up and walked around for us - stunning and the Sanctuary does work... More

Visited the snactuary in early April while returning to Kampala from Murchison Falls Park. Guide was excellent and informative but we had a long trek to see the Rhinos. I am not sure if this was because we had to stop out minibus and circumvent a lone, outcast Rhino (he had recently lost a battle for supremacy of the Group... More

Great trek to see rare rhinos in the wild with Budget Safaris Uganda. You will get up to 30 metres close to the magnificent white rhinos that are sadly close to extinction

We travelled with Rolandssafaris.com through Uganda in December 2014. We had a great experience with Roland. He is very knowledgeable about the country and the local animal. We felt us safe with him. he speaks English,German and Dutch. His car is perfect to discover the beautiful African savanna . We stopped by Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a walk with the... More
