Great place to come and visit the grave of Daniel boone and other famous KY people. awesome view of the KY capital and river!! Lots of unique stones and trees give great shade in summer for walks.

Very old cemetery. Beautiful views. Lots of history. Can spend hours here just perusing especially after a couple of free tours, and tastings, at Buffalo Trace Distillery.

Frankfort Cemetery sets high up on a hill. The spot was chosen in 1844 by the son of statesman John Brown. It has been added to a couple of times for a total of 100 acres. The mature trees and landscaping are part of its beauty. Daniel and Rebecca Boone are buried here along with seventeen KY governors and a... More

This is a great place to visit. The cemetery has a lot of history, great view of the Capital and Downtown Frankfort, and the final resting place for some important people in Local, State and National History. Breathtaking view overlooking the City of Frankfort. Historical grave sites of former governors and dignitaries. Peaceful and Tranquil.

My father is buried in this cemetery. It is quite beautiful, especially when the tulip trees are in bloom. There is an overlook near the back where you can see downtown Frankfort and the capitol. Daniel Boone's memorial stone is here as well as a Governor but I don't remember which one(s). This area is great if you have an... More

I go to the Frankfort Cemetery with my students and we learn about all the famous Kentuckians buried there. It is a nice place to visit what ever time of the year.
