Many Kentucky luminaries are buried here but the best thing are the amazing views of Frankfort including the Capitol and the Kentucky river. The cemetery founded in the 1840's has some wonderful older tombstones, two favorites are the old rugged cross and a gothic window. Don't miss Daniel and Rebecca Boone who may or may not be there and the... More

Beautiful cemetery, Daniel & Rebecca Boone's resting place over looking the State Capital & Kentucky river. Plus the war memorial was breathtaking.

Made a stop to nurse the little one and take a break from the road. Daniel Boone's grave is here with a stunning view of the city. There is seating at the overlook.. Cemetery is well taken care with beautiful stones and majestic old trees. Well worth the stop.

The cemetery is a peaceful place, of course, and very interesting. It dates to the 1800's, so there are many very old tombstones to observe. The highlight for us was Danial Boone's monument. Seeing the monument was important to us as we have been to his birthplace and to the Alamo where he died. The cemetery overlooks the Kentucky river... More

Beautiful resting place for the dead!! Quite serene overlooking the Kentucky River. The resting place of the great pioneer Daniel Boone.. Very interesting headstones too with entertaining stories of the owners.

Be prepared to walk up a steep hill to the top of the cemetery if you want to overlook Frankfort and see the Daniel Boone gravesite. You can also be given a golf cart ride to any destination if you request. There are many historical figues buried here including many early political graves. It is a well kept cemetery.

We always take out of town visitors here. You can see graves of Governors, Senators, a Vice Ptesident, and, of course, Daniel Boone. From Boone's grave there is a spectacular view of the State Capitol. There is also a large monument dedicated to Kentucky's veterans.

I love exploring cemeteries and this is right in the heart of the city of Frankfort. Daniel Boone and his wife Rebecca are buried here , and the gravesite is well-marked. Overall, a very nicely maintained cemetery.

Daniel Boones grave is in the Frankfort Cemetery, the cemetery overlooks the river and has a beautiful view of the Capital. This cemetery is one of those places you need to wander at your leisure. We did not have the time I would have liked , but the time I was in the cemetery I saw many historical monuments. It's... More

This is a beautiful cemetery! It is located on rolling hills with winding roads through clusters of grave sites. We were amazed with many of the dates dating back to the Civil War. The many memorials and monuments are grateful tributes. Daniel Boone and his wife, Rebecca, are memorialized here too. We appreciate all who have gone before us.
