If you like to walk in the countryside, this is a great place to do it. They charge a fee, but what is the big deal( $4), you spend more than that to do other things. It's very quiet and a nice change from being in town around all the cars and noise( and you learn a thing or two... More

Overpriced walking trails, you can hike many other places for free. Other than a few bird feeders not much of nature center. More

Not much to do, you can only watch birds for so long. Can take a walk but watch out for ticks. More

We wandered down the long road past Woodford farms and reserves and finally pulled up to the sanctuary at the top of a beautiful ridge. We had happened to drive past the sign while heading over to grab some Bourbon Balls at Rebecca Ruth's and decided to head back and check it out. It was the highlight of the day.... More

This wildlife sanctuary is near famous horse farms and the Bourbon Trail of Lexington and Frankfort, KY. Although off the major highway, the route was well marked with Buckley Wildlife Sanctuary. Only when we arrived did we discover it was an Audobon Center. Near the sanctuary's entrance was an easily accessible bird blind with a good assortment of local birds.... More
