There wasn't much in bloom during my late August visit, still a few tranquil hours strolling along forested paths is a great way to unwind and enjoy a park like setting. Tours are self guided. Take as much (or as little) time as you need in the various sections of the gardens. Bring a book, find a bench and lose... More

This is a place you could definitely visit multiple times. They have events going on throughout the year, and plenty of path to walk. I loved seeing all of the different types of birds and animals that live there! There's also a hiking path that is decently long, about half an hour to walk. The castle on the grounds is... More

This is a beautiful place for relaxation, educational opportunities or just to see some of God's creation. It is well cared for and the workers are great at explaining the various parts of the gardens - you can tell they enjoy their jobs. There are some lovely surprises as you tour and the history of the place is interesting. The... More

We weren't there for an event, just a wLk around and photoshoot. 250 photos layer, I was already in love with this place. So much to see and take in....from The Castle to the trees...to hosta or cacti...just perfect.

Wife and I went on Mother's day, it was pretty quiet and $10 admission. Parking lot was easy access and you enter thru the gift shop with very friendly staff. There are some structures on the site but most of it was an extremely wide variety of trees, shrubs, and various and sundry plants from all over the world. Grounds... More

A wonderful and peaceful setting perfect for an afternoon stroll alone or a wedding reception for hundreds. Lots of unusual plant species, with lovely rolling hills of Kentucky. Only a few miles from Louisville, enjoy the pastoral views.

On our way from Ontario to Texas we visited here to check out the miniature castle and collections. It was surprisingly peaceful and very beautiful. Some FANTASTIC specimens (weeping white pine, contorted European beech, white pine and stunning hollies) a nice little gift shop as well and an artisan bourbon distillery next-door :-)

Yew Dell is a very nice botanical garden with numerous plants and flowers available for viewing. The plants have identification tags in front of them so they can be readily identified. Their gift shop is very cute and is located in an old tobacco barn on the site. Yew Dell has many volunteer opportunities as well as workshops for helping... More
