If you are within a couple of hours from Bowling Green, KY, the Lost River Cave and Valley tour is a great family event. The the cave tour is conducted via boat with tour guide. We've been multiple times with the grandchildren and we all enjoy the outing. Please don't forget to "tip your tour guide"....many are local college students.

Do not waste your money on this. The cave is only about 200 feet long, during the boat ride you almost have to lay in the bottom of the boat to get under a HUGE rock. The whole boat ride lasts about 5 minutes.

Fun, interesting, and different! Very much enjoyed the tour boat ride through the underground river. If you get cold easily, take a jacket as the caves are 56 degrees even during the heat of the summer. Also, if the area has very recently received rain, call before you go to be sure they're running the tours as they keep the... More

I didn't really enjoy the section where everyone had to bend over to avoid the low rocks, this lasts several minutes. A good tip if you have kids, bring your own lifejackets because the jackets are sort of smelly.

We loved listening to the local history! The boat ride was short, but this isn't a dinner cruise! I don't know what some people expect!

The family and I had a great time at the Lost River Cave and Valley. The weather was a little hot when we got there for the tour. The guide that we had was very knowledgeable of the history of the area. If we are ever there again we will be taking another trip to the Lost River.

Although we had fun, we were expecting more of this attraction. The actual boat ride was very short and the "talking/walking tour" was too long for young children. Once on the boat, watch your head and can't see everything because they only show things on one side of the boat and you cannot move or the boat rocks. The activities... More

I don't have much to comment except that out of the 45 min time spent there only 15 mins was spent in the cave on a short boat ride. I had hoped to see more of the 4 plus mile long cave.

You pay for a the time that you spend with a guide but there are walks in the woods that are completely free. The guided tour was quote short but extremely good. The history of the cave is combined with local stories about the blue pools - very interesting. The underground boat trip was brilliant with lots to see and... More
