One of the best distillery tours thus far! We have been to Frankfort and Versailles last year for tours and visited Willett last weekend. Loved the family-owned, tight-knit, hard-working characters of the distillery. Our tour guide, Jessica, was very knowledgeable and friendly. Gift shop staff was very welcoming. It was such a happy place and we had a great experience.... More

My wife and I visited Willett Distillery on our way from Mammoth Cave to Lawrenceburg during our late October vacation to Kentucky. Last year, we had visited all of the sites on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail but missed out on some other gems, this establishment included. The dirt road leading to the welcome center takes you past the rickhouses and... More

We visited Willett Distillery in early November with another couple. We were charmed by this small distillery. It is well worth the visit and tour, and it gives one the opportunity to compare and contrast the operations of a big conglomerate vs. a small, family-owned distillery. Our tour guide did an excellent job of showing and explaining the distilling process... More

Willet is a really pretty distillery with its own lake they get their water from since it sits on top of limestone. We tried to go here our first trip to Bardstown but missed their last tour. I am glad we made sure to come back. Its a product with an interesting story and it was a nice change to... More

We went to some of the "big" distilleries in the Loretto/Bardstown, KY area. And then we went to Willett. What fun! The bigger companies are ok, but at this small "craft" distillery there was a much more personal touch. The time-honored small batch traditions are in full force here. It's a family owned and run business and it shows in... More

We've been on many of the Bourbon distillery tours and while they all have their high points, this is the best tour overall. It does the best job of showing the full process of making of Bourbon from grain and water to the final product. You get to see the cooking, the fermentation, the distilling, the barrel filling and the... More

My husband and I went on the Willett Distillery tour on a fall Saturday afternoon. We found the tour and the opportunity to get very close to the equipment to be quite inspiring. The opportunity to look down into the mash tanks, and get close to the BIG copper pot still were wonderful. Stepping back in history in the Cistern... More

We were visiting several distilleries along the Bourbon Trail and we really wanted to see a smaller family operation, not just the big companies. I would highly recommend visiting Willett - they've worked very hard on their visitor center and plant tour. Our guide was very friendly & informative - and the tasting was highly enjoyable. They have big plans... More

Had a great time during our tour and visit. Unlike some of the larger production distilleries and their tours, this one is much more personal and intimate, Willett is a family owned distillery. Our tour guide was very informative and entertaining. Loved the tastings at the end. Many tours end with you getting a sample of what they want you... More

Willet's is a smaller distiller of Bourbon. They only distill bourbon. There tours are smaller, ours was only six people. Of the three facilities that we toured on the weekend we liked this the best. Another feature that is un-advertised is that they grant veterans and active military a free pass with proper ID. There souvenir glasses are included int... More
