This was the only distillery I visited during my trip to Kentucky with the family. It is a smaller operation. Just my family and 2 others on the tour. We were there middle of August during the shutdown period so no bourbon was being distilled. They had just begun to cook the mash for the first batch after summer maintenance... More

This distillery is not part of the official "KY Bourbon Trail", but I would recommend not missing it! We visited because it is one of my husband's favorites. First of all, it's free. We had just 4 people on our tour, but she spent about 1 1/2 hours showing us around, explaining their process, answering questions- it was the best... More

How can you not put Excellent for a free tour that serves free drinks at the end? :-) 2 small shots at the end but still neat. The tour was not very long but it was neat to see the entire Bourbon making process, bottling and shipping...

Very friendly, informative guide walked us through the distillery, aging warehouse and bottling plant. Glad we took the time to experience this!

Some of the Kentucky distilleries are a ways out in the country. This one is conveniently located just outside Bardstown. I first visited it in 1969 and had not been back since then. Other than adding a visitor center, little has changed during that time. We had a very knowledgeable guide who could answer all the questions about the history,... More

The group leader was friendly and informative. The tour was just the right length. Enjoyed the bourbon tasting. This was a smaller operation than most of the other tours we've done. It was easy to find and just a short drive from our hotel the General Nelson Best Western.

We really loved the tour. Our guide was very personable and she really knew a lot of history, and even gave us a couple of great places to eat supper.

We where amazed to see the different types of distillation processes at these operations. We sampled some of the different bourbons they nave. I found it interesting that the bottling goes on year round with other spirits being bottled. They have a small gift shop where you can purchase different gifts and spirits.

My husband loves Bourbon. One of his favorites is 1792 made by Barton. The tour, tasting & Bourbon candy ball all free. A definite even though this is not on of the stops in the passport book GO

My wife and I were on a tour of about 8 distilleries. This one was very unique, as they do a lot of the production of bourbon the "old school" way. With so many new or large distilleries it was great to see a different way to make bourbon. I highly recommend.
