Best Zoo in Kansas, and many other places. I've been to a lot of highly rated Zoos, and this Zoo had many of them beat or equaled them.

My children are 11 and 9. As we live approximately one hour from the zoo, we have visited very frequently. For a city the size of Wichita, the Sedgwick County Zoo is extremely well developed. The variety of animals is impressive and they continue to open new displays. Our favorite experience on our most recent trip was the tiger feeding.... More

Be sure to go early, before it gets too hot, to see the most active animals. The jungle building was closed and will be until 2015 for renovations, so that was a bit disappointing. But other than that a great visit. Will be back next year!

We spent some time at this Zoo in March. It was a chilly morning so there were not many people around. The petting zoo area was the highlight for my children. We enjoyed our time there. It was not overly large so we were done in just a few hours. Normal price was a little high compared to larger zoos... More

Love this zoo. The exhibits are wonderful. Lots of paths so you can wander. A wide variety of exhibits. The different petting zoo areas are so much fun for kids and adults alike.

New chimp exhibit is cause enough to go. Walk through the jungle feel. Well laid out handicapped friendly and the birds are fantastic. I really have fun there and sometimes it is free or a dollar. Tooling

I love this zoo I have traveled to other zoo's in surrounding states and they just don't compare to this zoo! The exhibits are big and kept up great and they are always adding something new. You will not be disappointed by going to the Sedgwick County Zoo!!

I've taken my family to several zoos around the u.s. This one is local so we have been several times. Not a bad zoo but its by far the most expensive zoo we have been to, and not nearly as great as other zoos!

We attended the zoo with my daughters school class. It was a great day and very educational. There were a lot of other schools visiting that day as well but the park is so large that there is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy. Overall a great zoo!!!

The Sedgwick County zoo is located in a beautiful area just off highway 235. Its rolling hills, riverside views, ponds and thick tree cover make it very attractive. Most of the animals are in spacious habitats, and they have a few we haven't seen.... The African painted dog was memorable and young tigers and orangantan kept us there a lot... More
