This zoo just keeps getting better. I've been a member for a few years now, and I keep up my membership both to visit and to contribute to the great work this place is doing. Yeah, it's great for entertainment, but it's even greater because the Sedgwick County Zoo is known for its work in preserving species. A brand new... More

Only thing missing was polar bears! Penguin exhibition was a little cramped, but they seemed happy as they could be swimming and jumping. Food is overpriced, just as any recreational place, but you can bring your own picnic in. Awesome day and planning on bringing my niece back soon!

I think it was the best zoo I have seen. I like to visits zoos whenever I travel to a new city. I really enjoyed this zoo. It was easy to walk and the exhibits were really laid out well and easy to view no matter your age.

Quaint zoo with lots of exciting exhibits. We did the elephant training and were the only ones there. It was like our own personal show! Staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable!

Great zoo. Great exhibits. Spacious, artistic, older part of the zoo has been renovated, though parts still show there age. Must see gorillas, tigers, lions, Australia, and the jungle exhibit.

We have visited the zoo here many times. It can be freezing cold in the winter and very hot in the summer but the zoo itself is fantastic. It has sections where the animals are running loose in the habitat where you walk through.

We totally lucked out by going on a day in July that was cooler and overcast. Therefore, not too hot, or too crowded. The animals were active, and my kids had a blast. We had some close views of many animals, but our favorites were the gorillas, tigers, and orangutans. We had the chance to ask some of the keepers... More

My family and I went to the zoo when the inlaws were in town. It seemed over half of the major animal exhibits were either closed, renovating, or empty. Plus the food options aren't good.

Lovely petting zoo for the little ones. Can't wait to see the new elephant area. Definitely going back!
