We attended the zoo with my daughters school class. It was a great day and very educational. There were a lot of other schools visiting that day as well but the park is so large that there is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy. Overall a great zoo!!!

The Sedgwick County zoo is located in a beautiful area just off highway 235. Its rolling hills, riverside views, ponds and thick tree cover make it very attractive. Most of the animals are in spacious habitats, and they have a few we haven't seen.... The African painted dog was memorable and young tigers and orangantan kept us there a lot... More

My family (myself, wife, and 4 children ages 17,14,9,7) had 2 days in Wichita and decided to visit this zoo. We travel often and have been to other zoos throughout the country. This zoo was pretty good compared to others we visited (St. Louis, Milwaukee). I didn't love the layout of the zoo in general, however that is really my... More

Zoo is clean, well maintained, natural habitats for all animals. Feels like you are in the jungle with the animals. Great playground areas for young children. The cleanest zoo I have visited!

Most of the smaller zoos I've been to don't have nearly the amount of animals that this one had. We had a blast here! It was very hot out so the animals were not very active but the otters were! (That's all I cared about really!) Really fun and great for small children and Adults as well!

My family visited this zoo due to it is safer than the zoo closer to our area and was Mother's Day weekend so I got in free!!! It was fun to see all the animals exhibited. Lots of reading and walking. We will visit again!

I've been to several zoos and have always said I loved this one best from visiting as a child. It is way overpriced and not as good as it used to be. Today when we went the boats weren't going, the lion exhibit was shutdown, and the amphibian/reptile house wasn't open. I was very disappointed. I think the Oklahoma City... More

It had been several years since we visited the zoo, and it is even better than we remembered. If you have visited in the past, everything is bigger and better than it was before. Some of our favorite exhibits are the otters, big cats, bears and primates. Since I last visited they have updated the big cat exhibits, all of... More

We have been to zoos all over the country. I wasn't expecting a lot from what I had heard about this zoo. It was great!! The boys loved feeding the giraffes. There were several exhibits that were closed though. It looks like they are adding on quite a bit. There's a jungle exhibit scheduled to open next summer.

Surprisingly the reptile building was our favorite. Many exhibits were closed. Eating prices weren't too bad either. Being a member of another zoo enabled us to get a discount which was nice.
