Great for biking, running, or dog-walking. Nice views along the river. Benches to take a rest every once in awhile, and also plenty of trees for shade in the summer. The Keeper of the Plains is a big highlight!

Running along the Arkansas River Trail is excellent. It is a nice long, flat trail with great scenery. Multiple bridges, parks, and statues, keep your interest up and make the time go by quickly. With all the places I have run this continues to be one of my favorites.

We go for a two mile walk with this trail being half the distance. Sometimes the wife and I ride our bicycles and sit on the picnic tables near exploration place. The pots burn at 9pm often and it is a romantic setting along the bridges. Sometime in the summer you can over hear the Native Americans chanting in their... More

This is really a first-rate running path. Run for 5-10 miles here every time I'm in Wichita, and find it one of the best places to run in all of Kansas.

Wonderful place for a stroll - much better than on the treadmill in the hotel! The walkway is level, without major discontinuities and in excellent condition. Only complaint is that the river doesn't always have high flow and it can sometimes smell a little like low tide!

It's absolutely beautiful and definitely used. I love animals and saw lots of 🐶 running with their owners and people,.on bicycle with dogs by their side however the sidewalk was full of animal feces so careful walking. Maybe needs to be cleaned more often.

Clean and lovely, with ducks and other wildlife around. It makes for a nice walk not far from the hustle and bustle of the city.

If you're into strolling along the river and enjoying a light breeze, or out for a daily jog, you will enjoy this trail. If offers sites to explore along the way to include Military memorials along with the Keeper of the Plains. There's also ducks & people to watch and entertain you.

After taking some gateway photos and some Keep of the Plains photos we crossed the rivers to watch the fire show for the Keeper of the Plains. An absolutely beautiful show. Truly amazing that you can feel the heat of the fire from across the river! After the show my husband and I took our daughter on a brief walk... More
