Botanica is this green, flowering, sweet-smelling oasis in the middle of the big city. I love visiting there!
I've watched Botanica develop and grow over the years its been open. The landscaping is beautiful and its a treat to visit different seasons to see what is currently in bloom. The Children's Garden is a delightful addition for kids of all ages. Botanica offers a number of days that you can visit for free. Attend one of these and... More
It really is quite beautiful. I was surprised at how large it was so near to down town. My daughter spent over an hour in the children's garden, with the butterflies, watering plants, playing musical instruments, climbing and playing with the hungry caterpillar. She is 2 and a half and was quite entertained. I had a great time as well.... More
Our timing was not the best since there was a frost just a couple of days before we arrived, but the gardens were still enjoyable. The giant waterlillies, children's garden, and butterfly house were amazing.

The place is small and only attraction to is was squirrels running around. Definitely not worth full... More
We went to Illuminations, the holiday decorations event after Thanksgiving. Absolutely great! Have been during Spring and Summer before, but this was our first time over the holidays. You will love it.

This garden is a local treasure. Close to downtown, but it feels so private and serene. I find a lot of inspiration for my own yard from the seasonal floral displays. Wonderful to see how it changes with the seasons. The special events are fun and Illuminations is a family tradition during the holidays.
Everytime (almost yearly) I visit relatives in Wichita I add in an extra day for myself. I spend this "alone time" enjoying the beauty and serenity of Botanica. I take a good book, find a spot in the sun where I listen to the waterfall and enjoy the glorious views of plants, flowers, butterflies & bees playing in the breeze.... More
