Botanica has beautiful gardens, a butterfly house, a fun kids garden and a koi pond where you can feed the fish just to name a few. We really enjoy the nature walk, and if you are here around Christmas you must see it all lit up at night.

Firstly, the volunteer staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, letting my wife and I in for only a buck each and providing us with money off vouchers for other local attractions. Once inside Botanica, we were blown away and it was a delight for the senses. Beautiful, well-cared for displays of vibrant colour greeted us at every turn. Definitely worth... More

The Botanica had a great children's garden with interactive exhibits. It is rather small compared to other gardens I have been to but for a smaller city like Wichita it was very nice and pretty. I took 2 toddlers there and they really enjoyed it. The miniature trains ran by the couple were fun for the boys to see. The... More

It is not just the seasonal change that gardens go through but also the intentional expansion and diversification that greets visitors every time! Soon to be added are Japanese friendship garden and to the children's garden an antique wooden carousel! But don't need to wait! Tuesdays on terrace: evenings filled with drinks music and food. Wednesday noontime lectures with cities... More

My 2 year old and I visited, and it is a place that we both thoroughly enjoyed. There are things to do and see for people of all ages. The gardens, fountains, trails and facilities are beautiful and well kept. We spent a lot of time in the butterfly house and the children's garden and my little guy LOVED every... More

I went to these gardens on a weekday afternoon when few people were there, and it was great. I was definitely at peace there. Being alone in a butterfly pavilion is simply magical.

Botanica is a gem in Wichita's portfolio of things to do. The gardens are beautiful but what sets it apart is the Downing Children's Garden. My grandchildren (4 & 7) adore this area. They could spend the day here having fun. Must see the tree house, you walk across a bridge and come down inside the tree and exit his... More

It was just me and my wife, and it was just amazing. Very well taken care of, lots of different flowers and plants to view, and they had a kids section that totally made me jealous that I was not a kid again or that I did not have young children to bring here. They had a tree house, play... More

This place is great!! All the wonderful reviews really are true. Take your camera, LUNCH or be prepared with lots of snacks because the little ones are going to burn some calories running around the fun place! Check to see what kid's events they're having from 10-2 daily to bring extra play clothing off needed. If you have little ones,... More
