We only visited during the Christmas season and saw the "light display." It is amazing!! The way they have the gardens decorated; the way many of the lights are synchronized to music; the s'mores you make over a wood burning fire pit. Well worth the admission fee. One good thing would be to have it open one hour later and... More

We have been to see the Christmas lights for several years but there were just way too many lights not working this year! The first time we noticed some off, I thought it was just a small area, but then the illumination lights were off all over the gardens. Lots of dark pathways. No lights in several areas in the... Place as decorated very nice. Lots to see for both kids and adults. We enjoyed the lights synced to Christmas carols. Did a light show on "Frozen".

This is another attraction that has grown over the past twenty or thirty years since it first began. It isn't anywhere near the size of places like Huntington Gardens, CA (where I frequently wished I had a bike to get from section to section!) or the gardens in Victoria, BC, but Botanica Gardens is a much loved and very attractive... Love visiting Botanica in the spring, summer, and fall. Beautiful gardens, water, and a great children's garden and butterfly house. Also a wonderful Christmas light display called "Illuminations". They have music, hot cocoa and cider to enjoy. So fun to walk the gardens and view the creative way they display the lights. My favorite is the wisteria lights hung from... More

A beautiful garden with a fabulous children's garden. Illuminations during the month of December is the best light display. The new Chinese Garden will open in 2015. This is a real vacation destination or peaceful walk through the gardens for locals.

I have attended the Illuminations at the Botanica several times over the past 10 years. Each time was a delight. It really is beautiful and there are nice refreshments available for a fee. The restroom is clean and it is nice for a date or to take your children to.

These Gardens are fabulous. Have the season pass, enjoy Mothers Day at the facility to just visiting on weekends. Recently attended their Christmas lighting show, Luminations, it is spectacular! There is a cost but minimal for a relaxing stroll through the gardens during the winter. Might be better to see when their is snow on the ground.
