Place is great and would recommend it. The car show was there so made the day great for the older generation too. Lots to see.
This is an excellent zoo adventure for the entire family, and it's basically out in the middle of "nowhere", just south of I-70 near Salina, KS. There are a wide variety of animals in outside enclosures and some inside viewing for apes, rhinos, and snakes. A motorized tram is a good choice to see the outside areas for they cover... More
Don't be fooled into thinking that this is a shoddy little country zoo, in terms of the exhibits, museum, and the many partnerships they have with national zoos and conservatories this place competes on a national level, truly great
Love taking the kiddos here for the day! Excellent staff and they truly care about the animals. A must visit!!!
Trip to the zoo starts out with a trek through their museum. The exhibits are amazing and uses animatronics. Zoo is equally as great. We enjoyed feeding the fish in the pond ... they would jump up and grab the food from the ducks! Great overall.
I have been here several times with family and friends and plan to go back with my own children!! There is so much to do and see that there's almost not enough time in the day! They also have a great petting zoo for the kids!
This zoo is great. There are two parts to it, the zoo and the museum. The animals in the zoo look well kept, happy, nice variety of animals. Nice areas for them to be in, all areas were labeled well. The museum has a wonderful, extensive collection of stuffed animals...in fact, my daughter actually liked this part better than the... More

We had several of the workers stop and take time to explain different things about the animals to us. There are a lot of geese on the grounds so be careful walking on the paths though. They do tend to leave... More
This zoo is small enough to walk in a day, even with children from 18 months+. They have a wonderful selection of animals and of plants! The food was reasonable, unlike some attractions I have been to before. I really loved how they use every inch, there are no empty spaces or blank canvas, there are either plants or animals... More
