Beautiful Zoo

Very nice zoo with great views. Well cared for and lots of fun animals. They have a tram if you can not walk it.

Took the grandkids, and enjoyed the experience. The bat display was intriguing, and helped to teach the kids a bit about a mysterious critter. Both grandkids enjoyed the play room; the museum was a bit intense for the 3-year old, who sometimes find it hard to understand that stuffed lions and tigers don't eat little boys. All in all, the... The price has gone up several times over the years and it is now $50 for a family of 4. The zoo is pretty small and the animals are hard to see. I didn't really see it worth the cost.

I really enjoyed the Rolling Hills Zoo. What a nice surprise! You can see the animals from very close. They have more animals than I expected. You can ride the little train around and it is really fun for the kids. Feeding the fishes was way fun for my 3 year old. The day was really hot but they had... More

Small children enjoy feeding the koi and the petting zoo. Nicely laid out and beautiful animals with surprising variety.

I live in Salina, so this isn't a "traveling through" review, but it's nice to know what locals think too. Rolling Hills Zoo is located approx. 15 miles west of Salina, off of Interstate 70. Rolling Hills has two main components: a museum and the zoo. Your admission covers both. The museum also you to walk through different wilderness areas... More

We try to hit any zoo we can and have seen many big city zoos. Rolling Hills was exceptional! Clean, easy to navigate through, and most of all, the animals had nice sized enclosures. The giraffes had grass and had enough room to actually RUN and play, which they did. I say tied for #1 because the Dickerson Park Zoo... More

We visited during Memorial Day weekend. It was a surprisingly nice zoo for a small town. They have many of the animals you'd find in a larger zoo plus some endangered species. The museum is not bad either.

This is like a pretty good big city zoo but out in the country. It really does feature rolling hills. There are a lot of endangered species animals there as well as nice displays of more ordinary animals. Most of the enclosures are large and clean and pretty. There were some of the usual problems of mud and smells and... More

Just west of Salina is a wildlife park in two sections, a museum with animal dioramas and a zoo that is easy to walk through in about 3 hours. Many educational opportunities for children and adults. Well worth the time to take a travel break to see this gift to the people of Kansas
