This is like a pretty good big city zoo but out in the country. It really does feature rolling hills. There are a lot of endangered species animals there as well as nice displays of more ordinary animals. Most of the enclosures are large and clean and pretty. There were some of the usual problems of mud and smells and... More

Just west of Salina is a wildlife park in two sections, a museum with animal dioramas and a zoo that is easy to walk through in about 3 hours. Many educational opportunities for children and adults. Well worth the time to take a travel break to see this gift to the people of Kansas

The Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure is worth the trip again and again. There is a pleasant assortment of animals, the museum is great, and the shop has a variety of items. Easy to spend the whole day. Walk or ride the tram. Experience a great adventure in the middle of Kansas! Close to Salina and hotels and easy access to... More

The zoo visit takes about an hour and a half to get through. You'll really enjoy the museum! One word, "taxidermy." The price is what it is and they do birthday parties!!!

If you live near get a membership- and take a look at the Couples +2. I have put the memberships in my children's name so that anyone can take them (Aunt, Uncle, Babysitter, Grandma) and also get in free. Great monthly events and always ensures a big nap or early bedtime!!! :-)

I thought it was slightly pricey, although I think all Zoo's have become more and more expensive overall. Very nice to look around, the shop was very cool. I liked the experience.

This sanctuary is an outstanding zoological park. It sprawls over the Kansas prairie with excellent facilities for the animals and visitors. We have visited many of the large, traditional zoos, but actually like this one best. Great facilities, nice mix of rare species and caring, professional staff. We had scheduled a "behind the scenes" tour for a special event and... More

Wonderful zoo, great number of animals with wonderful enclosures. Their museum is a nice break from the heat. Be sure and ask about the history of the refuge, it is fascinating!

I don't typically write reviews, but folks need to know about this gem in Salina! I have used the RHZ Conference Center twice now to host folks from across the state for day long meetings. Gail and her staff are very attentive and accommodating. The facility is lovely and the food is always amazing. I can't say enough nice things!... More
