JCCC offers a great performing arts series at the Carlsen Center. The college is located close to major highways and parking is free.

This is the best deal around! Priced lower than in downtown KC and with free underground parking. I've seen such a variety of performances: Paul Taylor Dance Co, Les Ballets Trockadero, Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, Tommy Emmanuel, Jake Shimabukura, Jim Brickman, Michael Feinstein, Paula Poundstone, etc. Check it out at jccc.edu/performing-arts-series

JCCC hosted free college days for adults mon students. Professors volunteered their time to lecture about topics they are obviously passionate about. I attended Kansas Food History, wine, and phonograph. Amazing!

I live about ten minutes away from Johnson County Community College and actually have taken and am currently taking classes for fun (credit but not seeking a degree.) Just attended a very high energy professionally done musical called Memphis the Musical, which was as good as something you'd see on Broadway. The Yardley Hall is a lovely, somewhat intimate venue... We have seen everything from a magic act to various musical performers and this is our favorite venue in the KC area. It is located on the Johnson County Community College campus and there is usually close parking but always parking is available somewhere. Most every seat is good, and in contrast to the Kaufmann Center, there aren't any dangerous... More

A fantastic entertainment venue. They have had entertainment from Natalie Cole, to Crystal Gayle and Ricky Skaggs. They have various orchestras visiting and children's entertainment. Look at the upcoming schedule to find what interests you. There's usually something.

I have enjoyed many performances at this facility. It is excellent. Same campus as the Nirman Museum of Art. In addition to the Carlsen and the museum, there is art in many of the hallways of the college. A great cafe attached to the museum. I visit several times every year. The museum is free as are some of the... More

JCCC is definitely the best venue in Kansas City! The variety of entertainment offered is exceptional. We've been season ticket subscribers for years and will continue to do so. Carlson Center offers wonderful acoustics and ease of access for all levels of ambulation. Free, plentiful parking is a real plus (compare to the fee at Kauffman Center).

Great sight lines from all seats, free underground parking, amazingly wide variety in programming...what's not to like? This year we're seeing everything from Rita Moreno to blues to wild animals!
