We took our younger two children(ages 1 and 4) here while our oldest(age 10) was at a basketball camp. We didn't know how much our oldest would enjoy it and figured it'd give us something to do while he was at his camp. Well, I'm certainly glad we decided to give this place a visit! It's free to get in... More

I came here with my husband, sister, and our two 1-year-old kids. It was so much fun, even for them! They are too small to ride horses or fish, but they really loved seeing the chickens and the baby farm animals in the barn, and they especially loved petting the baby goats! We walked around the farmstead area and only... More

We loved it! Hands-on activites for the kids. Admission fee (2 or 3 dollars a person) on Fri-Sun only, otherwise it's free. If you're going to be there a while, buy the package of 6 activities (fishing, bottle feeding a goat, pony ride, mining package, wagon ride and one more...) for $10 and save. Even if you don't buy the... More

This a wonderful place to take the children so that they can see farm animals up close and personal. Let them bottle feed the baby goats, catch fish in the pond, watch the cows get milked, ride the ponies, listen and watch the turkeys, chickens, ducks and geese just to mention a few. There are numerous playgrounds for the kids... More

Earlier in the day we went to Legoland and Sea Life. Wouldn't you know my daughter said this place was by far better than those two places. We stopped by the blacksmith area and saw a gentleman there working on a hummingbird. It was pretty cool. We bought two bottles to feed the goats but most weren't interested. I don't... More

So educational for the "city kids." They were fascinated by the milking of the cow and loved the goats. Wish we hadn't arrived so close to closing time.

I have taken my grandson numerous times to the Farmstead. What a great place for him to learn more about animals, play on the excellent structures and drive the tractors. I would recommend that everyone in the KC metro area consider the Farmstead for their kids and grandkids.

Mon-Thurs admission is free. Weekends are only a couple of dollars. We had kids 8-11 that all found things to do and see. You can easily spend 2 + hours there walking around .

The entry fee is inexpensive, and although there are many "al carte" activities that you can pay for in the park, like pony rides, cane pole fishing, goat feeding, and more, there is more to do than can be done in one day. I will certainly be back.

This is a GREAT place to take the family. Our family visited for two days in a row because they enjoyed it so much. Pony rides, fishing, cow milking, general store, school house, hay rides, etc. There is so much to do here! So many people in Overland Park told us that we needed to take our family here, and...
