Nice Bootanical Garden

Still a work in process, but really nicely done so far. Lots of ponds and waterfalls. Maintained very well. Great place for kids or adults.

On a hot July day we walked and chatted with friends through the wooded paths. Some areas such as the Monet pond were quite lovely. I was hoping to see more native flowers and perhaps flowers in general. The paths and grounds are well maintained and the folks at the nature center bldg are very friendly and helpful. Not sure... Visiting Kansas City and wanted some place different to go. I always enjoy gardens and I was staying close so thought I'd check it out. What a pleasant surprise! They only charge $3 for admission! I spent a lovely afternoon. In addition to the well tended gardens, they have cement walkways, lots of benches for sitting to enjoy the serene... More

We love hiking and meandering at the Arboretum. Different sights depending on the time of year. The train and children's area are fun for those with young children. It's really beautiful and amazing that it is staffed by volunteers.

This place is awesome. If you like plants, flowers and nature, this is for you. It is out in the country but easy to find. The paths are lovely and there are so many neat sections to explore. You can see woods, a Monet water garden, streams, fountains, ponds, wildlife and more. And, the garden changes throughout the seasons. They... More

Nice, quiet area to commune with nature. Also, lovely flowers and water features. Love the statues. Just recently added a fee. Used to be free.

We visit arboretums and botanical gardens from Chicago to Denver to Portland. Overland Park Arboretum has the best Sculpture garden we've seen.

Fairly new arboretum with a wide range of plant life and landscaping ideas. Fun, but not trendy. This is about art, both with plant and hardscaping, and about wonderful international sculpture in a forested setting. At $3, this is a great value. Includes a wonderful outdoor train area the kids will love. Looks very well funded and expanding rapidly.
