it's a beautiful Arboretum with several walking paths in addition to a sculpture garden and a train for kids and a beautiful lake... No more beautiful the weather the better the experience

This is our favorite walking journey. The Arboretum I contains a beautiful sculpture garden, pond with water attractions, kids activities like a miniature train complete with a station and numerous trails. One of the many venues that make Overland Park a wonderful city.

Located fairly far south in Overland Park, the Arboretum is easily accessible from U.S. 69. There is an attractive botanical garden inspired by Monet's garden at Giverny, outside Paris. There are extensive walks through the wooded arboretum area and a growing sculpture garden, so you can easily spend several hours here on a nice day. It's a great escape from... More

I went there with my family for the fall season, it was cold, but, it was really worth it seeing all of the nature, because I am a nature lover and I always enjoy coming here with my family

My sister and I recently visited about a month ago and it was kind of a gamble because it was fall time and we were unsure of how nice it would look. When we started to walk around the front pond area the view took my breath away! The fall colors was spectacular! They had some areas for kids which... More

I'm embarrassed to say I live nearby and had never visited the Arboretum. I wished I had much sooner. This is a fantastic place to get it touch with nature. Wear good walking shoes, bring a bottle of water, and enjoy the walking trails. Animals are welcome, but on specific trails only. There are benches around the lake to sit,... More

Good any time of the year but the autumn colors are a pleasure at every turn on the path. Great by yourself to do some soul searching or with family or a group. Something for everyone to enjoy and they seem to improve it a little more each year.

I have enjoyed the Arboretum for years and have enjoyed watching it evolve from a rustic place to hike on the many trails to a real show place with many manicured pathes. Don't worry, the rustic trails are still there, they have just added many new features that are lovely to look at and smell. They have started charging a... More

We try to visit the Overland Park Arboretum every season and take our camera along. Get out and get some exercise while you discover new trails.
