Put on your walking shoes and enjoy the beautiful gardens. Monet's waterlily pond/bridge and gardens has been recreated here. Fish ponds, prayer gardens, children's gardens and discovery area. Every time we visit there are new additions! All ages will love. Great place to have family pictures taken. Gift shop and nature center is wonderful with nature books, paintings and garden... More

The OP Arboretum and Gardens has a variety of gardens laid out along a comfortable walking path that is wheelchair accessible. The gardens change characteristics through seasons but is always beautiful. I go at least 4-5 times between April and August as the different flowering shrubs, bulbs, roses, perennials and even annuals come into their own. they also have a... More

Being there the 3rd week in October didn't afford us an opportunity to see everything in full bloom but it is a nice and enjoyable attraction.

This is a great place to see all of the native flowers and trees of Kansas as well as many other beautiful foliage! This is a favorite spot for... More

Gorgeous grounds and walking paths - a feast for the eyes. The $3.00 entry fee is more than worth it. You can easily spend several hours exploring the grounds, but an hour is also plenty to see what the gardens have to offer. Do be sure to bring your "Deep Woods Off" during bug season, though.

This is the place I take most of our out of town visitors. Walking the garden paths brings peace to the most hectic of days. They have new attractions each season, and the winter luminary walk is a DON'T MISS event! Kids of all ages LOVE the train garden!

The Arboretum is a hidden gem! It is gaining publicity and knowledge by the community and surrounding areas. Perfect walk no matter what you need: short or long, paved or unpaved (wood chip), undulating or flat, garden - lake- water garden - forest selections. Just about anything you could want. There is also a sculpture area within the wooded walking... More
