I try to visit this secret garden every season. It's a great place to entertain out of town guests. I use it as a place to recompose and refresh.

I honestly am not that much of an outdoor person, but the Arboretum in Overland Park is really amazing. It has beautiful pathways lined with the most gorgeous plants and flowers.

Relaxing and peaceful. Great for walking alone or with family. Simply an incredible display of nature...right in the city.

We visited here in September and it was gorgeous! It has beautiful water features and a pond with fish and turtles. It has nice, easy trails to walk and plenty of shade. Sculptures throughout the park. There is a wide variety of flowers, trees and shrubs and they are all well maintained and beautiful. If I lived nearby, I would... More

A little bit for everyone, childrens hands on garden, train garden, mulched trails, beautiful planned gardens, statues. My favorite place to bring a picnic and just relax for a bit. Definitely worth the small entrance fee, or become a "friend of the arboretum" for yearly access. Lots of activities throughout the year, but it's still easy to find a quiet... More

I love coming hear to experience nature and hike through the beautiful gardens and forest. They also have a wonderful sculpture garden exhibit to enjoy on the paved hike. But definitely get off the beaten path and go up the dirt trails!

I live about 5 minutes away from the Arboretum. I have seen how it has change in the last 25 years from when it was a very natural park with rough terrain walking trails to a very nice place. One thing that has not change is the opportunity for a peaceful walk. I try to go around the busy times... More

Put on your walking shoes and enjoy the beautiful gardens. Monet's waterlily pond/bridge and gardens has been recreated here. Fish ponds, prayer gardens, children's gardens and discovery area. Every time we visit there are new additions! All ages will love. Great place to have family pictures taken. Gift shop and nature center is wonderful with nature books, paintings and garden... More
