As you enter you are immediately taken back to the old settler days. This is a working farm with plenty of activities for kids. The actors are friendly and love kids. You even get to ride an old stage coach to see what travel was like in the old west! Greta experience.

It is a great place I loved all of the animals. My favorite was the mahaffie house it was really big and pretty. We also went on a day that was perfect weather . Last you even get to ride a stage coach.

There with my grandchildren. They loved the horses, and the reinactors were exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly, willing to share history with a whole new generation.

We went here to see the Mahaffie house and farm, including the stagecoach stop. We went during the week in October and were unaware that you saw everything except the inside of the farmhouse, which is the main attraction. They do reduce the price when it is not open, but the rest of the site was not worth the stop,... More

We went for the 1st time to Wild West Days and it was awesome! We spent the entire day there because there was so much to do. Great historic site and we will definitely be back!

Birthday parties, Fourth of July festivities, stagecoach rides, and much more. A nice place to spend a day.

This is the preserved farm and stage coach stop of the Mahaffe family. Very well presented history, including treatment of the "bleeding Kansas" troubles which preceded the Civil War. The farm buildings were locked when I visited, but worth a walk, anyway. The corn was truly "as high as an elephant's eye". Check beforehand for open times and tours.

The whole family enjoyed the stagecoach ride. A lot of history was learned about on our trip. The whole family had a great time here. Thanks

Our last day in KC we went here. It is on the Sante Fe Trail. It is just like it was in stagecoach days. The staff was wonderful and they all answered our questions and were very knowledgeable. We even got to ride a stagecoach. This is great for kids too. It had been privately owned of course and we... More

I had not been through since about 1989! It is so much bigger and better! The heritage center is the place to start and get all the background. Then visit the historic old house and the living history actors. You simply will not regret this attraction and make sure you get in on a stage coach ride! Don't forget the... More
