It's a nice SMALL clean zoo. I hate the hike down the steep hill to see the Tigers. Wish it had more animals.

This is a smaller zoo in the heart of Manhattan, drive is through residential neighborhoods to get there. The zoo is older but they have been making updates over the past several years. Animals are limited and I would recommend that one not go in the heat of the summer day as the animals are not active at all there... More

Took our grandson to the Manhattan Zoo. Good exercise with the hills but small enough to get around. The flamingoes, Peacocks, monkeys, prairie dogs and bobcat are favorites, but don't go too late or you will miss the gorillas.

If you are near Manhattan, Kansas and have the time or are looking for a wonderful place to spend an hour or so, visit the Sunset Sun. Although small, it is a clean and well kept zoo. Nicely located and landscaped, it is a perfect visit for families or anyone with an interest in zoos.

The perfect size zoo for a family with small children. Great mix of animals, playground, amenities and special events. Love the flamingos and chimpanzees! Average visit for us is 2 hours. The staff goes out of their way to answer questions and engage visitors.

My wife and I stop at zoos whenever possible while on vacation and this zoo was a nice addition to the zoos that we have visited.Clean, well kept, the animals looked healthy and well cared for.For only $5 we... The zoo and grounds are well kept, but a lot of the animal enclosures are very small. I hope the residents will help make this a top-notch zoo.

We had a great time at the sunset zoo. Military can get an annual pass for $45. The animals were on an easy tree shaded path. Good variety. The enclosures looked well kept. Many of the animals were up and running around. We will return.

I hadn't been to this zoo since I was a small child. This zoo is just amazing!! I don't remember it being so cool!! They are making a new exhibit for tigers, but we never even missed seeing them!! The chimps has us laughing...the youngster was just pushing everyone's buttons! I highly recommend taking time to visit this small but... More
