Wonderful museum with knowledgable people, great exhibits and a story to tell! The hot chocolate on the Friday after thanks giving is a nice touch on a cold day.

This is worth going to just to see the architecture in the building. The marble mosaic floors and marble wainscot is incredible.

In 2013 the Museum will commemorate the 150th anniversary of this event and Civil War buffs should take the opportunity to visit since the events surrounding the era of "Bleeding Kansas"... More

Don't miss this - we learned a lot about Lawrence's history of civil rights and wrongs.

Really enjoyed this museum and the fee was a donation! It even had the first electric car, you should see the size of the battereies. Lots of history! (And current history too)
