Liberty Hall is a very unique theatre venue in downtown Lawrence, Kansas. It is located on the north end of Massachusetts Street in this fun college town. Liberty Hall takes you back in time with some art deco design. It is small, cozy, and inviting. There is one large screening area for movies and a Little Theatre on the second... More

Classy and classic movies, cool interior design, staff teleported from the funky past, what else could you desire? And you can have beer and popcorn while you enjoy the flic. My kinda place!

I have been going to Liberty Hall for over 40 years. Historic theater. Have been to many different kind of concerts here over the years. Has been beautifully restored. Thank you Lawrence for keeping this treasure for all to enjoy. Highly recommend.

Liberty Hall's a historical treasure of Lawrence - and a wonderful venue to boot. They have great shows and even better films coming through on a regular basis - only complaint of mine is the little theater isn't nearly as good of an experience as the large one in the auditorium if you're watching a movie. Otherwise, this is a... More

What more can you ask of a local theater? Shows the best movies that don't go to the big theaters. Community conscious. Hosts many community activities and live shows. Historically important. Neat place. Sound system could be better.

Loved Liberty Hall!! We were in the little theater for a movie- such a great environment. It was a little cold and don't expect the comfy recliners at a traditional theater, but it was a great experience. Concessions are cheap and they even sell booze!

Liberty Hall is the epitome of awesome, staff, shows, movies, etc. Great place to catch live bands, indie movies or a rental. The staff in the video department knows their stuff! Where other video stores have failed, I've always found what I'm looking for at Liberty Hall. LOVE the variety of snacks for the theaters.

the christmas jazz event it great. This art deco theatre is top notch and provides the perfect venue for jazz and drinks. The seats are very comfortable and the dance floor was large enough for the crowd. It was fun watching the really great dancers with spats and gloves. It got us 'In the Mood" for the holidays.

What a cool old building with a long history and memories. The beautiful hippie murals are still painted on the tall walls. The stage has hosted some epic shows. It was the original Red Dog Inn and home office and venue to Mid-Continent Booking Agency who started with the Fabulous Flippers and then devolped many more "horn bands" with catchy... More

This old building has character. And, the films are top rate: good foreign films, great independent offerings and timely documentaries. Ticket prices are modest. Admittedly, the seats are not the most comfortable and the sound quality could be improved - but, you don't have to pay exorbitant amounts for the simple pleasure of having a beer or glass of wine...
