Great water park. Best in KC area.

This place has potential to not be such a disappointment if they adopt a completely new operating model that incorporates the principles and practices of efficiency. At present, however, it is a terribly managed logistical nightmare. It's hard to tell if this is due to (intentional?) lack of staff, or a poorly managed operation. Admission: 1 - I purchased advanced... More

My wife said it best, "If we lived in KC, she'd buy a season pass." My kids loved the park and even we adults had a great time. Observations: 1. Sign-up for Verruckt early. The park opened at 10:00 AM (we didn't know you could get in earlier) but by the time we got through the line and inside, it... More

You can pay $45 to get into the park an hour early to ride the Verruckt before anyone else, plus can get a spot, picnic table, lounge chair. Place gets so packed so its worth it! You can bring in your Own Food and Drinks which is a nice option. COOLER ON WHEELS!! Otherwise your carrying a heavy load a... More

While we had a great time there are not enough slides for the amount of money you are charged to get in. There are a total of six slides, this includes the Verreckt (spelling). We went on a Wednesday so it was not completely full but the wait for the slides were at least 20min to 1 hour. They take... More

Kind of small for a schlitterbahn and didn't have many slides yet. Lots of land on the property; so I am sure they will add something every year. ***Get there around 9:30 AM. Although the water rides don't open until 10, you can still get inside early and snag a table with shade.**** Only downside was the food wait. I... More

Get there early, when they open. If you have children ages 10+ don't stop at the first picnic area, go almost all the way to the west side of the park, this will most likely be where your kids will spend a good majority of their time. Stake out a picnic table (hold with cooler), lounge chairs (hold with towels),... More

The rides we were on were really fun, but hour long waits made some unavailable. Parking was so far from lot to attractions.$10. for small locker. Some areas the water was very dirty. So over crowed that it was impossible to get an inner tube and you had to have them to enter the water. The place has real potential... More

My family of five enjoyed our visit. Kids are 21, 19, 14. They all had a good time, as did mom and dad. I would recommend getting there early to jump in line for the slides before the lines get too long. We were there on a day that approached 100 degrees. The kids got fried, but did not reapply... Overall we had a really god time at Schlitterbahn. However, no one had ever mentioned that the worlds tallest waterslide had a reservable fast pass type amenity. So imagine our surprise when we've been waiting in line for an hour (which we expected and were fine with) and suddenly a group of thirty people is allowed to cut in front... More

We have been season ticket holders for the past three years and each year we keep hoping that they will work the kinks out, more attractions will be added and service will be better. That being said our patience is running thin and for the first time discussed not renewing the passes next year. We went just this past weekend... More
