I read about the giant Van Gogh, so naturally had to see it; it's pretty easy to find in such an otherwise flat landscape. We got a few snaps, then proceeded on to Estes Park. Doubt I'll go back, unless I am with someone who hasn't seen it; it's a been there, done that.

We were glad we stopped in Goodland to see the High Plains Museum and this sunflower painting. Certainly is a standout. Interesting story about the artist who painted this wanted to honor towns with fields of sunflowers and places where Van Gogh lived.

If you are in Goodland, take a few minutes to find this, just to say you did! The painting is 24 x 32 ft., on an 80 ft. easel. It weighs 45,000 lbs. Yay for sunflowers!

They have made a nice park area to display. One would not expect to see this as my Grand Son said "out in the middle of nowhere " A lot of effort was put into making something nice for travelers and locals alike. KUDOS to everyone involved

It's a picture! There is little else to say about it. View it from I70, but there is nothing to be gained by driving over to it.

Van Gogh is one of my favorite artists, so I was very excited to see this rendition of the sun flower painting. However, I visited in the evening and the sun glares off the painting as it sets making for poor quality photos. It is extremely easy to find and is quickly located off a main highway. If you're a... A fun thing to see and wonder who and why they put it there. A nice excuse to get off the interstate and a rest a bit and take some fun pictures

there really isn't a lot to do here except walk around and admire the artwork, but it's free and quirky fun! You can see this from the interstate, but you really have to know what you are looking for. It doesn't take a long time to see this attraction, so if you are on the road, it is worth your... More

Lived in Kansas my entire life but never had chance to stop at Giant Easel until recently. So glad I finally got to see it. What a fun stop, well maintained and the easel and painting...huge! We signed the guest book, took a few pix and stopped to read more about the painting and how it was accomplished. Pretty amazing...gets... More

It's amazing to see just how big the painting is when you get up close. Pretty interesting and worth the drive by if you are in the area.
