I stopped by the zoo one afternoon. It is very small, but well kept. I was able to see all of the enclosures in about 15 minutes, so it is definitely not a lengthy excursion.

Free! Well maintained! Beautiful landscape! Easy to walk through with small children and stroller friendly. Small play area for the kids. Clean restrooms. Walk across the road and look at the Veteran memorial...tank, helicopter, boat anchor. If you time your visit right, you can go next door to the zoo and ride the mini train for $0.50!

Yes, it may be small but it's a wonderful zoo that has a lot to offer. Since the last time we we're there they have expanded more... a few more animals and there's a small walking trail to go around, inside the zoo. There also is a train that is for little ones that can go and get a ride... More

What's better than a free zoo! It may be small but makes for a good half day activity. Make sure you play peek a boo with the mountain lion.

This zoo may be the size of a garden compared to many others, but it is always so well taken care of and the animals seem healthy and taken care of as well. I like to go and watch the Praire Dogs chirp and run around chasing each other frequently. It's a quiet little enjoyable place to visit for anyone... More

Zoo is located just south of downtown. Also Soden's Grove park is right next door. For a small town the zoo is very well maintained and has good exhibits. Caretakers are genuine with animals and the groundskeeping.

Small but awesome! This is a great place to take family. Kids love the variety and the surroundings. My kids have been coming here for over 10 years. Love it and show all our relatives!

It is a very small zoo but great for little children especially. What I love most about it is the beautiful plants and flowers. They are absolutely amazing. Worth the trip just for that!

We love this lil zoo and buy a family pass every year even tho it is free to the public. It is just the perfect size. Not too big not too small. They hold all kinds of activities all year around for the community/youth. In the summer it's nice and shaded and a beautiful stroll. When we have out of... More
