Wright Park is an amazing resource in Dodge City. You must see Liberty Plaza - a moving tribute to 9-11 - all 3 sites , NYC, Washington DC and Shanksville, PA. And int he park is the zoo. We took a leisurely walk over to the zoo and realy enjoyed the animals and birds that are three. A baby buffalo,... More

Dodge City Zoo is a very small zoo and don't be fooled by the word small. This zoo is very good indeed and believe it or not it is absolutely free. One of the zoo attendants actually took time out to show us the bear and the cougar and also the tigers. They allowed him to stroke and pat them... More

For such a small town to have a zoo that has the animals it does is amazing. To see Tigers, Cougars, Bears, etc. Extremely clean

During my travels, I found this little jewel near Wright Park by the Arkansas River. What it lacks in size, it makes up for with interesting exibits of cool animals. Huge, shady and green adjacent Wright Park has nice kids playgrounds-great for picnics, summer weekend concerts and such.

Lion, Cougar, Black Bear, llama & many cool monkeys along w/ the traditional Kansas buffalo, water fowl & farm life. You can feed the goats, etc. It's short, sweet & free to boot.....doesn't take long to walk the whole route of zoo maybe 20 to 30 minutes depending on which animals are out of their enclosures & what interests you.

This small zoo is just south of downtown in Wright Park, easily walkable from there, and is well worth a visit. For such a small zoo they have a surprisingly large selection of animals, all kept in good surroundings and obviously well looked after. Bison, tigers, wolves, longhorn cattle, black bears, llamas, all sorts! If you want to be scared,... More

It's not big by any means, but it's clean and not busy. It's free and has quite a variety of animals. We enjoyed our visit. If in the area we will visit again, Thanks for all you do with animals!

It's a nice zoo for kids and family. They have a lot of different animals and everyone must go at least once.

This is a small zoo but it is very clean and well maintained. Plenty of good shaded areas to cool off. It appears they are doing a lot of expansion. No admission charge! The pot belly pig was our favorite!!! Also, right outside the zoo entrance is a BIG play area for the kids.
