I wasn't sure what to expect but this museum is pretty much a 3 in 1. There's two different spaces in the building, one that covers the Veterans Museum and then there's another space which is the Grout Museum of History and Science. The Veterans portion in particular is extremely well done, as it takes you through a variety of... More

I loved this museum. It looks brand new, it's so clean and modern! We had a small conference at this museum and it went perfectly. The room isn't blocked off to the museum, but it wasn't a problem. The employees were great too!

Walking thru the displays of early life in Waterloo and the back round on the Sullivan Brothers gave a better appreciation for the sacrifice the family made to the war effort. The museum provided an easy to see and understand history lesson on the early development of Waterloo. Worth the time spent.

This museum was great you tend to think it will be just about the Sullivan's , but it was a full war experience. We saw things from the civil war all the way up to current conflicts. They give you a dog tag and at each exhibit you scan it and it tells what you did as that person in... More

I've been thoroughly impressed with the Sullivan Bros. museum. It has some really well done displays that both honor the Sullivan brothers of Waterloo, but also tell the story of all Iowan soldiers. There is a REALLY good section on Iowans fighting the Civil War.

This museum has its act together! From entrance to exit we were never once left wanting something to see! The exhibits were ALL wonderfully thought out, precise, and beautifully arranged, extremely artistic and tasteful. The only thing I regret is that I didn't set aside a whole day to see everything. This museum did veterans history right! Great way to... More
