I am a train enthusiast and wanted to see this museum in progress. We had a super guided tour by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable young lady which included all kinds of history and interesting tidbits. The main facility is still being renovated but plenty to see. We stood on an operating locomotive turntable, went into an authentically renovated 2-6-4 steam... More

This is clearly a labor of love by a group of dedicated volunteers. Someday it is going to be great. Right now it is only okay, with flashes of amazing.

I have visited many times with my family but the best times by far are the special events they have every year. They always focus on family and it's a great way for kids, parents, and grandparents to get together for fun family bonding time. The early 1900's ambiance of the buildings really sets a wonderful background for learning and imagination.... More

This museum was a very nice time. Spread out over a few buildings there are many things to see. The big engine where you get to ring the bell is the best! The model train area is quite impressive and the staff/volunteers were very informative. We really enjoyed our visit.

This is a well maintained piece of railroad history that is well worth the visit. The roundhouse is a great place to visit, and you can even climb into the cab of the Great Northern 1355 steam engine and ring the bell! The turntable actually works, and you can go for a spin on it. You can also take a... More

This attraction is an ongoing restoration project on good acreage, consisting of the Roundhouse and other buildings containing various memorabilia including a large HO Gauge Model Railroad. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and will provide a conducted tour, or you can chose to wander at will. There is a yard ride behind a diesel jinty which wasn't running... More
