I am in the process of following the Lewis and Clark Trek from one end to the other. Sioux City was a wonderful stop on my journey. The galleries were beautiful and the artifacts helped me to picture what this group went through. It was a very enjoyable afternoon.

The initial video presentation in the theatre was impressive, with lots of historical information. We enjoyed touring the interpretive center, with all of its interesting exhibits. Best of all, it was FREE!

This was a very informative site from the moment you walk through the door. The staff is very knowledgeable. I could have listened to them all day. Their enthusiasm for their work and their love of the exhibit was evident. There are actually two exhibits. One is Lewis and Clark and the other is about natives of Sioux City. The... More

This is a nice family friendly museum. There's an interesting movie. Interactive activities for kids, but with good information. I enjoyed the interactive center too. Galleries with beautiful and appropriate photography. It's right on the river and the grounds are lovely

For anyone interested in Lewis & Clark, this is a "can't miss" attraction. There are exhibits aimed at kids, together with things for the grownups. The medical kit and supplies are fascinating - an exhibit stemming from the Expedition's only casualty, Sgt. Charles Floyd, who died on a bluff in Sioux City now crowned by an obelisk that looks like... More

Went with the kids, they enjoyed it. I wish I had more time to read all the information. Everything was done well especially when it's free it's amazing. The kids loved the passport stamping, It's worth your time to stop.

Very nice presentation and facilities. They have a 15 minute movie that tells about Lewis and Clark's journey. The displays are very well done and the outdoor displays are great. Stop here.

This was the second stop on our week long vacation. We had originally had this on our plan for Monday but we switched up the route to get here Sunday afternoon. So keep in mind it is closed on Mondays. It was worth it. We are traveling with two children ages 7 and 4. It is a museum that is... More
