It isn't large, but it is incredibly well done, and very interesting. It is totally worth the time, regardless of your interest in history.

This is a small, modern, highly-interactive museum that would be great to teach upper elementary kids the history of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Mildly interesting for the rest of us. Worth a stop, and it's free!

The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center is awesome. So much history and so many displays. I have been there many times. Always clean and well kept. You can spend hours there learning so much about our history. A must see at the Sioux City Riverfront.

Interested in learning about the Lewis and Clark Expedition? Well this is the place. This museum has lots of hands on exhibits for the kids and a very good film that outlines the expedition. There is a life sized animatronic dog which is like the Newfoundland one which accompanied them on the expedition. There is a large sculpture of Lewis,... More

Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center it was a really interesting stop on our trip to Sioux City and South Sioux City. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the exhibits are very interesting. Easy access, and some walking trails along the river made it well worth our stop.

This free admission center is one of the best because of its quality, interactiveness and the additional Betty Stong Center. The small sculpture park is a delight. The hostess that greated me was named Connie and was so engaging and kind!

I did a Lewis and Clark trip from Missouri to Nevada - stopped at many, many Lewis and Clark centers. This is the BEST. I spent couple hours there and wished I had more time. There are fun things to do and it's very informative. Great for kids. They let me bring my dog in for a minute to get... More

Sioux city should be proud of the Lewis and Clark Center and the Betty Strong Center. This beautiful Center sitting on the Missouri River was built and is run without the use of taxpayer money. It will take you back to the time that Lewis and Clark explore the area around Sioux City. Additionally the Betty Strong Center has great... More

There was a large exhibits about the Lewis and Clark and the talks about the Indian territory. We are part of the Louisana purchase. They do go into length on how they settled, fished, or explored a country. There is more there but time was abarrier that I couldn't go back to finish. The mayor of town was there and... More
