We recently spent three nights at Spook Cave Campgrounds. We were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the grounds are. The property is well cared for from the camping spots, lawns, playground, and beach area to the shower house and restrooms. We loved camping next to the wheel house and stream. My four year old son had a great time at... More

Called into spook cave and was greeted warmly by an employee named Tyson. He was very nice and informative. A couple days later i went on a tour given by Hannah. Unfortunately she seemed like she could care less about her job. She seemed rather rude and stuck up. Peyton, the young man who was working in the store showed... More

Your specifics with names are really helpful to improve our service, thanks. Hannah has returned to college at the University of Iowa after completing her 5th season working here, and overall has done a good job. We have forwarded your review to our internal Spook Cave Team Facebook page for all employees to see. We have also discussed it with... More

Nice little ride in the boat the guide had little myths about the place but complained about her job and life most the time. You might end up with a sore back because you have to bend down alot because the cave isn't that big but still really cool to see.

Thanks for the response and I apologize for your tour guides negative attitude. She has moved on with her career to pre-med school at the University of Iowa and no longer works here. More

The tour was nice overall, pretty good way to spend some time on a road trip. There is a LOT of ducking required, so I would definitely not recommend this to anyone with back/neck problems. Not very many formations, but very family oriented. Very nice grounds to use for picnicking or camping.

What a nice place. Large sites and well kept. Nice hiking trails. Pond for swimming and the cave was a pleasant surprise. I've already booked again for another weekend. Pleasant staff.

Kids will definitely love this experience. We have an 11 and 14 year old and they both thought it was fun. It's not too terribly long so they didn't get bored which is saying something for our daughter (LOL). You do have to be just a little flexible as the ceiling of the cave is quite low in places.

I have read many bad reviews about Spook Cave but I finally got to experience it for myself. We had my 13 year old son and my 4 year old neice along with us and they both loved it. At the beginning of the cave (and the end because thats where you come out also) you have to duck down... More

We stayed in 104. Full hook up site. This is a very family friendly campground. There is a store on site with ice cream and other camp stuff. They also will deliver fire wood to you when you order it. Nice people.

Husband and I were staying in McGregor Memorial Day and found reviews for Cave Creek. There isn't much to do in the area so we decided to go check out Spook Cave just 10 minutes away. We are sure glad we did! It wasn't busy since it was the day after Memorial Day so we ended up being in our... More

I have came here more then once with my family. The story of the cave never changes but I still love coming back to it. And it's first Halloween thing they did was pretty cool other then they started bringing the people in costumes out before all the tours were out . So that was kind a bummer. It's not... More
