Couldn't have had a more peaceful and enjoyable time...despite the pouring rain Friday nite, the campground was clean, full of friendly campers and camp hosts that would bend over backwards to please you!! Not our first time here, won't be our last. Dog friendly and people friendly too!!!!

We started at the Headwaters of the Mississippi and traveled the Great River Road south. This is the Best Views of the Mississippi River. The two level deck that hangs off the bluff has unobstructed views for miles. Definitely worth the stop.

Definitely make this a stop if you are in the area. We hiked to bridal falls. It was beautiful. The hike is not too bad but lots of stairs. The views are outstanding. They have a great picnic area. One little note that we loved. They had hummingbird feeders with about 20 hummingbirds flying around. It was very cool.

Another place I hadn't been to in years, last time for a camping trip, this time for some sight seeing! Make sure to check out the main overlook area, where you can see where Marquette and Joliet first discovered the Mississippi river. There are also effigy mounds, many hiking trails, and a waterfall!

I love it! Riding up 19 miles around turns and they mountains. Scenic views everywhere you look. In. Bad weather or during special events you may not be allowed to the top but today the stars aligned and we made it. Plan on three hours minimum cause there are so many pull offs. We got to the top I jumped... More

Had such an amazing view very kid friendly had very nice campground hosts that helped us get settled in. Would tell anyone that this is the place to go or a weekend or just a overnight thing. Had bathrooms and shower room which was great with the kids.

Beautiful outlook area overlooking the Mississippi river valley. There were a lot of trails that looked really great but we only stopped for a quick look on our way through town. Definitely worth our little detour.

Pikes peak is a very well maintained Park. Lawn is manicured to a nice finish, walking paths are wide and stable. Make sure to visit the concession stand and they will help you decide which trails to take depending on time and dedication.

Well maintained state park with great common areas. The views are so very good and are perfect for picture taking. The location is very easy to get to and is well marked.
