If you think that all you are going to see are a bunch of old dolls you are very mistaken. The Dyer-Botsford Historical House and Doll Museum is packed full of local historical items so much so that they are running out of room. All the different dolls from all over the world are worth seeing, but I was pleasantly surprised by the old clothing and furniture in the basement and on the first floor. The old house and furnishings are interesting, our guide was thorough and excellent. Surprisingly, this heterosexual male found the dolls interesting; some real antique dolls, plus Kewpie dolls, Barbies, Shirley Temple, and much more. The dolls with three faces were a little creepy, two are supposed to be covered by a bonnet, I think. Each room is a surprise.

My husband and I spent over one and half hours touring this amazing house and doll museum. Our guide Jeanette was very informative and pleasent.
