This was a great ride down the Mississippi in the evening. We opted for the dinner cruise which was in retrospect a mistake. The food was meh at best. My suggestion would be to go on one of the non-meal cruises. The captain was friendly and informative.

Wanting to have a trip down the Mississippi, we opted for the dinner cruise. This was a mistake. The cruise itself was average, we were unable to hear the commentary of the captain, either due to the noise of the other passengers or the poor sound quality of the sound system. The staff were reasonable, no complaints about them. The... More

We loved this river cruise! We did not buy the lunch for the cruise, they have concessions and that was good enough! This was a full 2 hour cruise on the Mississippi, the captain was our tour guide and did a great job pointing out all the points of interest and knew his history!

We had a nice ride for an hour and half. The captain did a real nice job informing us of the area on the river.

We did the 1 1/2 hour tour on the Spirit of Dubuque riverboat and had a blast. All 3 kids - from 4 yrs to 13 yrs - enjoyed it. Couldn't really hear the captain talking until we got up from the table and decided to stand near the front of the boat. Too muffled in the seating area. Was... More

We went on the Spirit of Dubuque River boat with our bus tour. They had a prime rib/chicken dinner and then you go and watch the fireworks on the river. It was $109. A couple of things we didn't like. The Prime Rib was underdone and they had so many table and chairs packed in, that you couldn't sit comfortably... More

My family and I recently took the scenic tour of the Mississippi from Dubuque. The tour was two hours long and cost $30 per person (for adults). The tour also included lunch for an extra fee, but we did not partake in it. The Spirit of Dubuque is a paddleboat and has a lot of space to move around in.... More

If you never had a chance to ride a river paddleboat, and you are in the Dubuque area, this is a nice ride for you and the family. The boat was very comfortable, and they have food and drinks for purchase on board. The food was pretty good. Free parking along side the dock. A nice way to spend an... More

I took an afternoon historic tour. They seemed to have trouble setting us off, but a very smooth ride after that. Learned a lot of history, but the speaker repeated himself a few times like he lost his place in his reading or had troubles turning pages.

I was on a 1-1/2 Hour tour on the Miss Dubuque for a bridal shower. They announced that they would have wine sampling and also a cash bar with beer, etc. Since I do not like wine, I proceeded to the bar to buy some beer. I bought 2 beers, one for myself and one for someone else. I asked... More
