We did the 90 minute sightseeing cruise and found it relaxing and enjoyable. The info shared by the captain was interesting.

Very exciting cruise on the mighty Mississippi River with beautiful scenery all over. Many bridges and structures along the way. The Captain explains everything related to the area with great detail. There is a concession stand, bar and rest rooms. The paddle wheels are unique, providing smooth transportation over the water. You can move freely on the boat. The upper... More

I had mixed feelings about my boat trip yesterday in Dubuque. The scenery was beautiful, but the narration was boring. The capt. doing it must have done it a million times before because it sounds like he is bored to death. It is too bad they don't get a recording of the sights and then they could just play it.... The trip probably took a couple of hours. The guide told things about items of intrest and history of the river. We had a difficut time hearing him. We got the pleasure of seeing a bald eagle flying over the water not too far from the boat. That was awesome! It cost us $24 each but we thought it was... More

The next time we visit we will do this again. My family loved the rides, they had fair prices as well.

I was part of a group, served a meal, the food was good, air conditioned 1st deck. There was music playing at an incredibly loud volume through distorted speakers and the noise of the boat engines made the two hour cruise kind of uncomfortable after a while. Turn the volume down a bit so people can talk above the noise. The... More

We enjoyed a lovely ride on the mighty Mississippi on a sunny, summer day. The pilot was also the narrator and perhaps he should have stuck to guiding the boat and not being a tour guide. The narration was very scripted and labored. At times, he was had to understand. Perhaps, Dan, the guy running the snack bar should be... More

We stopped at Dubuque and went on the Sat dinner cruise. The evening was so nice. The cruise went through the lock and dam and was really enjoyable. The prime rib dinner was excellent and all of the staff we're very freindly. It was our second time on the Sprite of Dubuque and we will certainly go again when in... More

I had never done a paddle boat of this size. We enjoyed a very smooth ride along a picturesque Mississippi River. The captain told us a lot about the area - but he was monotone and seemed uninterested in sharing the data. It must be a job requirement to give the spiel. But I suggest they have someone else give... More

The girls loved the trip on a paddle boat, we opted for the buffet lunch. There were only 10 people having it in total. Food was average and edible. Commentary was ok, interesting about history and other boats. Saw a bald eagle nest and this was the limit if the wildlife section! For the fun of a trip on the... More
