I've live in Dubuque for about 20 yrs now and never took the ride in my so called back yard. Not only was very informative of the local area, it was breath taking. It is is must do, hurry it close for the season soon

Originally we'd booked a 3 hour dinner cruise for our anniversary, but we got a call during the week saying that because it was forecast to be unseasonably cold, people cancelling put them below the level where they could sail, so they cancelled the dinner cruise. In its place we booked the 4 hour afternoon lunch cruise (for which they... More

One hour long narrated tour on an old paddle-wheel boat. Tour goes downriver about a mile, and then swings about 2 miles upriver. It is nice, but not for the price.

Booking was easy but check-in seemed unnecessary challenge. Booked & paid online. Still needed to go check in at the boats booking office to get tickets even when one does not order a meal. Otherwise, the venue is dated but tour guide/captain did a nice job pointing out all the special attractions and explaining history. Would still recommend the tour... More

Sightseeing tour up and down the MS River. Just terrific. Narrator (captain) was boring, though, and TOO LOUD.

The views are terrific. The narration from the ship captain/guide was terrible. I mean laughably bad, we literally were laughing about it throughout. The ride up and down the river is nice, however for the price you really aren't getting much. We got to see a couple of eagles and other water birds, some tugs going up and down.

We took the Sunset Dinner Cruise. It was a great experience! Of course the boat is old, it's a paddle wheel! But it's very neat, clean and comfortable. The lower deck is enclosed and air conditioned. The catered meal is very good. Sirloin steak, chicken breast, pasta, garlic mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, dinner roll and dessert! More than you... More

The Spirit of Dubuque is the boat Robert Kehl used to begin the tourism industry in Dubuque with prime rib dinners. Today the boat provides a leisurely cruise from the Ice Harbor up to the lock and dam and then down past Dubuque to the Dubuque Memorial. Visitors in the fall will be enchanted with wonderful leaf color and occasional... More

We took a Saturday evening dinner cruise with a group of almost 100. The feedback from everyone was positive and enthusiastic. Food was excellent - especially the prime rib. The staff was friendly and attentive. We would recommend it.

Have gone on this boat twice, an evening dinner cruise through the lock and dam and a late morning historic cruise. Both were exceptional
