I've been a lifelong resident of Dubuque Iowa for over 33 years and never been 2 Crystal Lake caves until my late thirties when I took my wife and two young children there not for people who do not like tight dark wet spaces. Very interesting to see what nature can do with the little time young children 6 and... More

I've been in caves before this was fun! Seemed like it was ran well. I really liked the staff and tour guide.

Great hiking trails and many caves to explore. The trails were easy to follow. Good for all ages and hiking abilities.

We enjoyed the cave--it is small compared to many others, however it is worthy of a visit if you are in the area. It would be great for children.

This is a fairly small cave compared to others. The history of the cave was interesting but the tour was very "scripted". We were the only 2 on the tour and felt like the tour was mainly geared towards kids especially when pointing out formations. The price was a little high for the tour. There are a few tight spots... I sincerely apologize for the tour sounding like it was read from a script. I want to thank you for bringing this concern to my notice as it will help us to address all the guides. Your opinion definitely counts and I appreciate you expressing it. Sincerely, Julie Rubel CRYSTAL LAKE CAVE, L.L.C. More

The visit overall was great! Our tour guide Justin was very friendly and cute. The formations were beautiful but, the lights were causing algae to grow on them which is not healthy for the formations so the lights need updating. The signs that were hanging from the formations did worry me and I didn't think they really need them in... More

This was my second visit and I loved it just as much as the first time! I can't wait to bring the little ones the next time. Worth the trip!

It is an old lead mine & not a cave, they charge to tour it & their is no lake underground, only a little puddle...If you want to see a real cave go to the Maquoketa Cave State Park---you will not be disappointed...They are real caves & free!!!

This cave is right outside of Debuque, Ia. The young girl that did the tour was friendly and tried to answer all questions. She went slow so you could check out the cave. the only negative thing to say is its overpriced at $14.00 a person, it didn't take that long to go through. Not sure I would do it... More

We enjoyed the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We were at the end of the tour & she always spoke loud enough & never rushed us through pictures etc. I have 2 boys that love caves & although this doesn't compare to some of the Missouri caves I would still recommend it.
