I traveled to Dubuque with my husband and friends from Germany. The young lady in the Welcome Center was very helpful with giving ideas where to go in the area. They also have so many brochures where you can get ideas from. Some of their souvenirs are nice, too. A good place to stop and get ideas if you are... More

People were friendly and very helpful. They had tons of brochures as well as some gifts (tshirts, etc.) A good place to stop for ideas of things to do in the area!

The lady there helped us find a room even tho Dubuque was pretty much sold out due to 3 home comings and a craft fair, she helped us find attractions, the river boat was fun, the elevator cable car was cool, but just a short drive away was Galena ill. and that little town is great, its like a cross... We thought that we were going to stop in to pick up some brochures, but the person at the counter gave us all kinds of ideas for things to do. We were only going to be in Dubuque for 24', but because of her suggestions, we made some good choices.

This impressive building dominates the skyline . It has been lovingly restored including the glistening gold central tower. The interior has been altered but the security guard said there was not much to see so we didn't go inside.

We happened by here when we first got to Dubuque and it was a great thing. The worker that was there showed us many opportunities that were available for the week end we were there and then gave us suggestions of other sites to see. She asked what we were interested in and then found us some brochures. She also... More
