We found this to be a helpful place to visit for information about things to see & do while in Dubuque. All of our questions were answered by a lady who had grown up here. In addition to clean restrooms, the center had lots of gifts, books & wines from the area.

Stopped by on day one to get some maps and brochures. The office is situated on Main Street with parking right across the street. The woman manning the desk was friendly and helpful. It really helps to make your visit more stress free to get the info you need before going off on a wild goose chase!

A wide selection of area information is available here. The staff was helpful. We only wished that the brochures where organized a bit more clearly.

We were in Dubuque for two days. Upon our arrival, our first stop was the Visitor Center in order to have some questions answered and to pick up some maps. I think we would have been hopelessly lost on a number of occasions without the maps. There are lots of one-way streets in the city and the roads in the... More

Stopped in here for a map and left with loads of information and booklets. The ladies were helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. They inquired where we were from and then told us of their visits to Ireland to visit their grandparents towns. This is a must visit stop as they have all the info you need.

We were trying to find the Dubuque Carriage Rides and stopped in there. Lots of brochures, souvenirs and helpful staff. The lady there was for knowledgeable and made several suggestions of things we could do and see while visiting.

This is a very nice center, with a lot going for it. The view is wonderful, right on the river, it has a lot of paths for walking. Kids would enjoy it. I know our grandkids do. We even were there once for a convention, the people are friendly, helpful, and it is very clean. There are bathrooms, and places... More

If you're spending some time in the area, I really suggest you stop by there. They have books, pamphlets, maps, and anything else you could think of to find places to go and things to do. On the not so "up" side, sometimes the folks in there are very knowledgeable and a huge help and sometimes it's the other way... More

I love brochures. And this was a great destination to pick up lots of them. They had brochures for all of Dubuque and the surrounding area. Staff were eager to help and made a couple of suggestions that I would have overlooked on my own.

Staff very helpful. Good to get restaurant ideas. Had some t shirts and other small gifts. Clean rest rooms, too.
