Best pub this side of the Atlantic. A couple of pints of London Pride were delicious as was the steak and Guinness pie. Others dined and drank outside. Big selection of beer including many Belgian brews. Next time I will try their chicken and leek pasty. My only complaint is that they are too far from home. More

The Royal Mile, located in downtown Des Moines, is a new local hotspot. The atmosphere is really relaxed, and the clients are respectful. The patio seating (actually in an alley beside the bar) adds to the atmosphere. Members of the local minor-league, the Iowa Cubs, have been seen kicking back with a beer here after a game. More
