Loved this little English pub. Great selection of British beers on tap. Bartender was very courteous and prompt. This seems to be a big college hangout. Glad to see the college students are drinking good beer. Wish I had time to visit the Belgian beer bar upstairs. Looked like they had some wonderful Belgians on tap as well.

My favorite place to drink in Des Moines. Go upstairs to the Red Monk for great Belgian beer.

Best pub this side of the Atlantic. A couple of pints of London Pride were delicious as was the steak and Guinness pie. Others dined and drank outside. Big selection of beer including many Belgian brews. Next time I will try their chicken and leek pasty. My only complaint is that they are too far from home.

Friends and I used to go to the Royal Mile regulary but stopped going when we could no longer handle the smoke which drfited up to the dining area from the bar. If you looking for some great fish and chips, this is the Pub to go to. Not to mention I love their StrongBow cider. It is a great place to catch up with some friends over drinks, but casual attire required.

The Royal Mile, located in downtown Des Moines, is a new local hotspot. The atmosphere is really relaxed, and the clients are respectful. The patio seating (actually in an alley beside the bar) adds to the atmosphere. Members of the local minor-league, the Iowa Cubs, have been seen kicking back with a beer here after a game.
