Much more than I expected. They had a fiber art exhibit that was thrilling, but I am a fiber art enthusiast. However, I believe anyone would enjoy this exhibit--very unusual. I loved the museum because it has a nice flow to it. The volunteers are so informative and helpful.

This art museum was enjoyable. The architecture was the major draw for me and it is unfortunate that the windows aren't uv treated so they can be uncovered in the second building. However, it is an enjoyable way to spend a few hours and it is free.

We're so happy to hear you had an enjoyable time at the Art Center! Unfortunately, the windows in our I. M. Pei building had to be temporarily covered due to the sensitive nature of some of the materials in our current fiber art exhibition. When the exhibition ends in early August, our windows will be uncovered. We hope to see... More

the dsm art center is beautiful inside and out. it doesn't keep the interest of kids - maybe for an hour. for adults, i think this is easily a 1/2 day adventure. they also have great art classes and summer camps.

Enjoyable and approachable modern art collection. Beautiful architecture and wonderful grounds make this museum a great way to spend a few hours. Free docent tours on the weekend is a great plus.

Much appreciated our return to the Des Moines Art Center. New exhibits as well as familiar ones. Older children searched for creative techniques, younger ones objects and possible background stories. Nice restaurant. Great outdoor sculptures. A treasure for the city. Look forward to another visit.

My family and I all love the Des Moines Art Center!!!! The architecture itself and the grounds are stunning. the collection is as well. To top it all off, it's free, and not far off the dsm bikepaths. great for a rainy day, or combine it with a picknick ..
