Great assortment of sculptures in several different mediums. Hard to find but parking is easy and sculptures invite exploration by young and old.

I visited the park on a Sunday - I was the only one in the park, aside from a couple homeless people who were lingering on the benches! The park is very well maintained and set up nicely. The art is very unique and worthy of a view! If you happen to be in Des Moines this park is well... More

Interesting sculpture and a peaceful park in the middle of downtown. Take the time and walk around it. There is an audio component which sheds some light on the pieces.

This is a lively spot on a summer Saturday night. So glad I had my camera to get some shots of the lighted sculpture against the indigo sky.

Close to downtown attraction, a nice walk from river. The grounds were immaculate, and the brochures here gave assistance to learn about the park and each piece of work by dialing a number on your phone. I was the only one here, but that was because it was 9 a.m. after breakfast. It is a small park with about 25... More

It is fun to visit Des Moines as all top attractions are "free" (excluding seasonal fairground). You will have a lot of photo opportunities with strange looking but interesting sculpture spreading all across the park. Take time to sit down, enjoy artwork around the world and check "cool" neighborhood in Des Moines.

How accessible and impressive we found this sculpture park to be. Download the guide from the Des Moines Art Center web site, to know more about the sculptors, and to enable you to make the experience fun for any young people you might have in your party. Fabulous experience. If you go near noon, take a lunch and enjoy the... More

I'm glad we stopped here, it was really funky. The grass was a bit wet and smelled strange in area's, but other than that it was worth the visit. They have some really interesting pieces of art.
