This museum is funded by the city of Davenport and is totally free to the public. The building is new and modern but some of the collections of art donated to the museum by rich families in the area dates back to the Renaissance period, as well as some local art. Only about 15 percent of what the museum owns... More

This is an incredible museum and a surprising find. Local art is worth reviewing, as are the usual collection of masters. Recommended. Free admission.

If you are looking for an art museum, but don't want to spend all day there, the Figge Art Museum should fill the bill. On the day we visited, it was uncrowded, and the atmosphere was pleasant and unhurried, so we were able to see it all in about two hours. Favorite exhibit for us: the Grant Wood room. Wide... More

The Figge is a very nice museum and well worth a visit if one is in the Quad-Cities area. Parking was plentiful and inexpensive the summer weekday that I was there. There was a special exhibit from the Wadsworth Atheneum is Hartford, Connecticut that was exceptional. I was also impressed by the Figge's own permanent collection that was on display.

Along with traveling art works coming to visit once, in a while; it is a nice place to relax and view some of the local artistic works. The building is unique by itself. I enjoyed my first visit there and plan to go back again. Especially, when other displays come into town.

I appreciated visiting this art museum on a hot day in downtown and disappointing Davenport, IA. The museum, which has four floors of displays, has a lot of what you would expect for a small, depressed and uneventful city art museum. I was impressed with the exterior architecture and how it was laid out inside. There is a great view... More

Museum consists of many galleries arranged through the building with art displays everywhere including the stairways. Between permanent displays they have other displays on loan so it's never the same ol same ol. Nice gift shop and bar with café tables set out on patios to enjoy the beautiful view of the Mississippi River and Quad Cities' Centennial Bridge. Fun... More

There was little to do after my meeting was over on a Saturday late afternoon so I stopped by the Figge with a business colleague. We were so pleasantly surprised. First of all the architecture of the building is striking. Then we discovered that they had a art show from our own state's Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art. The quality... More
