They change some things up every few months! The Imax is really nice and the movies are great quality. During the summer they offer $1 admission Mondays (doesn't include movie or special exhibits).

Displays were interesting but no signage or directions found from section to section of museum. We were a bit confused as where to go and missed several exhibits.

This museum is a wonderful place to go to learn about the Indian culture of Iowa. Also geology information. The kids love it. They also have a mummy of a 16 yr old prince.

This place is great! My 12 year old loves it and we regularly see kids of all ages there being engaged and interested. There are LOTS of hands-on things to stimulate their curiosity as well as exhibits dealing with Egypt, Asia, Native Americans, animals, geodes, etc. There is also an IMAX theater.

The kids had an absolute blast at the Putnam. We stayed for most of the day, and there was plenty to keep them busy. I like how they change things around so it's new every trip back!

Giant screen theater, reel deal, special exhibits for Diana and Titanic, summer camps, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, history. Hands on learning exhibits. World adventure series. The museum provides it all at a reasonable cost. You can spend an hour or all day depending on why you are there.

We had a great afternoon here just going through the regular exhibits. We didn't pay the extra for the special exhibit and we had plenty of things to see to take the afternoon. Many hands on things for the kids and lots of history. We had a very good time.

We spent the day at the Putnam Museum---very much enjoyed the CSI exhibit and also the rest of the Museum. Would recommend it to anyone visiting the area---great way to learn and had things for all ages and many hands on exhibits for younger and older kids. Special set up today for dissecting an owl pellet, flower and earthworm.
