The park overall is pretty with a nice lodge that is locked unless it is being used, there is a shelter with grills for cooking, but it is not a park for camping unless it is floatzilla weekend which is not a great idea unless you go away from the main park, people come in and out at all hours,... Not a very well maintained park. All overgrown with weeds and a lot of seedy characters seemed to be hanging around by the water in a few areas and sleeping on picnic tables. Was told it used to be a high end golf course years ago but pretty much a overgrown swamp now. Looks like the whole area floods a... More

It used to be a fantastic park. Since it has flooded for the past years, the golf corse has been closed and the whole Island has been let to rundown. The club house burned down and has now been re-built but shouldn't have. The Island now has a frisbee golf course, a bridge to the seedy part of Davenport ,... More

Nice area at the end of the Riverside Trail. Lots of open space and an 18 hole disk golf course. A nice area with sculptures depicting the park in the very early days of the parks existence. Bicycle accessible also by the Riverside Trail, for a nice place to stop and have a snack.

Fun place to experience the river, nature and some history. Worth a drive through. Also fun to bike through the park and stop on the bridge to get a better view of the wetlands.

Went here today, didn't see any pretty birds... Seen some Robins, some Ducks.... Nothing was "picturesque" - Only bugs, haze and overgrown vegetation. There are no walking trails that are marked with signage. Oh! There is a very rusty vintage tank! That was neat?! :) Until they clear some vegetation to see the river, and until they mark the so-called... More

This is a lovely natural setting, with trails for walking, places to picnic, and a fantastic view of the Mississippi. Home to many snowy Egrets!

We spent a lovely morning on Credit Island, enjoying the sights and sounds of the local birds. This is a park on the banks of the Mississippi River, which also encloses some smaller quieter inflows and even some swampy areas. Therefore, with this varied habitat, one can find birds of all kinds: Mallard ducks, cormorants, Great blue herons, hairy woodpeckers,... More

Credit Island used to be a nice park with a great beginners golf course. That is all in the past. The park is completely submerged every spring due to the Mississippi River flooding. Now it is a decent place to enjoy a wooded surrounding, but not much else.
