So I was, admittedly, a little fired up to see some of the sites in the area referred to in the book. One of the interpretive sites is in Council Bluffs, named so after the fact... More

There is not a great deal to do here but the view is really cool and I think it would be better at night. It is a great place to watch the air traffic from the airport.

Another must do in Omaha! Best viewed when the sun is setting. The overlook is quite inspiring! The river and marsh below and the beautiful city of Omaha highlighted!

Love to sit and watch the planes at Eppley taking off and landing. Great view of the Missiouri River and the valley.

This is a good place to come on a nice sunny day. The view is amazing looking into Omaha and there are some really fun walking trails that one can take on the side of the bluff. Some where near the bottom there is a neat little natural spring. Definitely a place to explore!!

High unobstructed view of the airport and on to Omaha. Pleasant environment with stairs or ramps for walking around.

Love this location overlooking Eppley Airfield in Omaha and I-29.you are perched high on the bluffs overlooking all of downtown Omaha and the Missouri river. Nice hiking trails and historic information about the Lewis and Clark expedition.might be hard to find, but worth the effort!

My family visited her in the morning before the museums opened. It is a nice place to spend a little time looking over the river and downtown Omaha. There were walking trails however we didn't use them. Park service was there cleaning up garbage ect. Good photo ops.
