Nice variety of children's activities.

There are several fun areas in this little museum. It can get crowded but the kids really enjoy it and ask to go often.

I like the location, in the mall by the ice rink. The staff playing and working here seem to do a good job. Very good stations for young kids. Needs to update and renew some of its items, things are becoming worn out.

My grandsons came to visit and this was an excellent destination to visit with them. We flew planes, operated a pizza restaurant, farmed, and built and raced cars. We all had a great time. It was one of the highlights of their visit to Iowa. We built some lasting memories here (and Lego creations too!)

This is a great place for kids to explore, learn, experiment. Even big kids (liked grandparents) will enjoy it.

Looking for a wonderful place for yourself and the kids? The Iowa Children's Museum is just the place. While others may try to copy it, the Children's Museum has the advantage of experienced staff who keep the place spotless and the exhibits working. Visiting the museum will prove to be the quickest couple of hours you ever enjoyed with your... More

My youngest children are 2 and 4 and this place is perfect for them. They can typically spend 3 hours here just going from one thing to the next...there is so much to do!

One of the better kids museums I have been to. All exhibits actually working, which is nice. Lots of hands on activities. I don't think it would be fun for any kids over the age of 10 though. My only complaint is that they don't have reciprocity with other museum passes.

More exhibits than can be seen in one visit. Very hands-on for young people. Exhipts on two levels. A unique asset of the Iowa City area. An added bonus was a real rock concert by third and fourth graders, including "Helter Skelter" by the Beatles and "Funkytown" byt Lipps, INC.

It rubs me wrong when a venue charges for admittance but has nothing targeted for you. My 3 year old and 6 year old had a great time and I'm glad they did but I feel like charging what they do for adults makes little sense when there is little for adults to do/see and absolutely zero comfortable seating for... I have an 8 year old and a now 2 year old. We decided to go to this museum because we have spring fever and are a little bored with our local children's museum. This museum is two floors of fun. My kids absolutely loved it. The museum is split into several small exhibits which are all interactive. My kids... More
