We have visited the Indian Creek Nature Center in all 4 Seasons and it was always a great time. Spring time, you are able to see great variety of flowers and beautiful flower trees, several species of birds most of them will be nesting, ducks and ducklings, not to mention the bee hive inside the Main Building. Volunteers are available... More

This center has walking trails, Maple syrup making. They are going to construct a new building to house the center. Great place to take kids and adults for a learning and understanding of nature.

Indian Creek Nature Center is a place of "ah" and "awe." With acres of forest and prairie and wetlands, and a very knowledgeable and personable staff, and great programming - it's a wonderful place for soaking up the natural world, only a short drive from downtown. Their new education center will be THE model of sustainability, showing their commitment to... More

There are always lots of activities going on at ICNC. It is a fun place to volunteer or to participate in one of their special activities. Great trails for hiking or geocaching. There are activities during every season.

Like all the information available about wildlife and nature in Iowa prairies through time. Summer really buggy. Need to sell insect repellent in gift shop, otherwise you better bring your own. It is in a wetland area.

Considering that this is just outside of Cedar Rapids proper, this is one of my "always go back to haunts". I can spend time out there and really feel like getting back to nature. It also helps that there are trails out there....for bicyclists too!! It's easy to get to, has ample parking, and they do still have some nice... More

CR is lucky to have the Nature Center. It's serene, informative, and one of my favorite things in the county.

The Nature Center is worth a day or at least half a day of exploration. The trails are great and you can also sign up for a variety of classes and events. We volunteer for the Maple Syrup Festival each March, Nature's Noel on the first Saturday of December and the plant sale in the spring. We meet interesting people... More
