This theater, renovated in 2013, is a majestic example of old-world theaters and a reminder of the beauty and grandeur of our cinematic past. It's opulent entrance and foyer are well worth viewing, and the owner himself will even take you back stage for a behind the scenes look! The place now hosts many events and is fun, yet elegant.

I haven't been here sence I was a kid and went to the movies so the date is wrong but that's all it would let me go back. My dad would take us to the movies once a month when we was kids, I always thought the place looked like a castle inside it was really cool I thought

This place is incredible, If you don't have an event planned there get yourself invited to one that is or move yours. Better than I every remember it. If you have memories from the past or just want to see fantastic venue that has been around for almost 100 years, you have to go. From Laurel and Hardy and vaudeville... More

This is a great place to visit in Terre Haute. It will take you back to the old opra days and you just can feel the building come to life. There is so much beautiful art work to see in this downtown building! This is a must see!

It is a historical theater and is so cool. I wish they would open it up more to the public...doesn't seem to be open much anymore.

This is a piece of Terre Haute History. Although it can not outshine the newer theaters... it is fun to see what the ceilings look like and imagine it back in its glory days.

As a 6'1" growing college student, I must say this was the must uncomfortable theatre I had ever gone to. I went there for a date, and it was an amazing date location, She had fun at least, but holy cow I wanted to kill myself watching that movie. It was like I was crammed in the small backseats of... I grew up going to the Indiana Theatre, & especially for scary movies, campy events (The Rocky Horror Picture Show) & even Russian ballet (The Nutcracker), it cannot be beat! There literally is not a bad seat in the house, due to the wonderful design---it is a trip back into the days when theatres were truly grand & glorious :)
